The property was as described...quiet and private but not remote. It was a lovely cabin with large windows looking into the trees. From the top floor you can see Phillips Lake and a beautiful sunrise in the morning. In warmer weather, the sun room would be amazing...it was a little chilly for us unfortunately.
Nice place. Good host. The place was quite clean & ready, with just a couple of things missed. My third time renting this beautiful log house, and I would not hesitate to return.
LOVED THE CABIN!!! Everything we needed and then some! Very comfortable and relaxing. We cooked outside several evenings, really really nice. Perhaps some instruction on how to properly use the microwave, finally figured it out, LOL! I would recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone who needs a “time out” from reality! Thank you for making my stay so Amazing!

Place was very remote and quiet. There was no shower soap, bar or dispenser type, and no tissues. Seems like the cabin was more cluttered than it should be but overall was very nice. We would stay again if in the area. The host was easy to work with and description was fairly accurate although seemed to imply it was closer to the lake than it was.
Requested to stay an extra day and knew we could stay an extra day at this cozy cotiage within hours of contacting the owner. Great location for an extraordinary nature 3xperience.
Stunning home, convenient location, kitchen well stocked for family meals, large movie/book library, many games/puzzles. We hope to return again next season!
Very clean, quiet, and convenient space, all the basic necessities were provided, including paper products and cooking supplies. Comfortable beds, everything we needed to rest between outings to the park and surrounding cities and attractions. Great stay!
Great Fall Vacation, wonderful experience in all ways.
If you are looking for a secluded getaway, this is for you. Wonderful, spacious and rustic with all the comforts of home. We used this cabin as our central location to our moose tour in Greenville and Bar Harbor / Acadia.adventures.
The cabin was at the end of the drive, quiet and peaceful, although there was some construction going on in nearby properties. The fireplace (wood burning stove) warmed up the room and made for a cozy evening. We enjoyed being "off the grid" so to speak after being out doing all the touristy attractions within 30 - 60 minute drives.
Everything was as described, and easy to book. Cabin was nice, quiet and exactly what we were looking for. We're accustomed to staying at cabins, and this was one of the top ones we've stayed in. Highly recommend!
We loved staying at this property. It was secluded but not dark, out of the way but not remote, and a very comfortable place to spend our Bar Harbor / Acadia / Bangor vacation. As any property in this location, make sure you plan for dinner and breakfast timely as most food options (including a grocery store) are 30 min away and close earlier than a city. This cabin was perfect for that because all the cookware we needed was available at hand. Next time we vacation in the area, we would definitely stay at this property.
If you are looking for a secluded cabin in the woods, this is it! Beautiful country and a great location. An hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in one direction, and half an hour to Bangor in the other. If I ever go back to Maine, I would definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay Mid-Coast Maine, close to Acadia. Ideal setting, nestled in the woods well above the lake and separate from the business of the lake's edge neighborhood. Lots of birds making their way through the forest on their southerly migration. Nice outdoor fireplace with plenty of seasoned, split wood. Dog enjoyed the cabin & open woods. And we did, indeed, hear the loons.
An absolutely lovely cabin in the woods. Remote enough to not see other people while on the property, but close enough to get to town relatively quickly. A perfect place to rest up.
If you want a place to stay that in the woods this is it. Large cozy cabin nestled in the woods right near the lake. Listen to the wildlife at night and see the stars. Firepit outside with a wood burning stove inside with all the modern luxuries as well.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back in a second.
Seeing as it was built so long ago, I expected a few more quirks and cobwebs than we found. This was definitely a good thing! The house is well taken care of, and a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed our time here very much.
