About the host
Hosted by Kerry and Paul Fieldhouse
We have had 9 fantastic years here at Manor Farm having moved from Leeds when our littlest one was just 7 months old. We continue to love it. We have done such a lot of work on the properties since taking over and added some personal touches. We both love the outdoors and Kerry also works as the Lineside Conservation Officer at The North Yorkshire Railway in Pickering.
Paul is an outdoor learning specialist with a history of working as a primary school teacher and self-employed forest school leader. He has spent a lot of time at Manor Farm developing the grounds for guests to enjoy and have added a meadow walk where you can watch the barn owls and kestrels hunting in the field.
Our other jobs involve looking after our two boys, cat, hens and a large polytunnel with our fruits and veg!

Why they chose this property
We are lucky enough to live on the Flamborough Heritage Coastline. This gives us direct access to the seabird colonies at RSPB Bempton cliffs as well as stunning walks up the coast path to Filey, Flamborough and Bridlington. There are beaches for everyone from surf beaches at Cayton Bay and Scarborough to rock pooling on the chalk cliffs of Flamborough to the sandy beaches at Bridlington. If wildlife, fresh air and outdoor sunshine activities are what you are looking for then this is the area for you!
What makes this property unique
The Roost is a beautiful barn conversion offering families, friends and groups the perfect together space in the large living and dining area with the benefit of your own personal rooms all with en-suite and TV. Our standards are high and we are strive to make this the best holiday cottage for your group with comfort and mod-cons surrounded by beautiful Yorkshire Coast scenery.
The Roost has direct access to Bempton Cliffs, a short walk up Hoddy Cows Lane for early morning sunrises, nature walks or just an escape to view the fantastic chalk cliffs. If you are feeling more energetic the 4 mile circular walk to the cliffs with a visit to the RSPB center before popping into the White Horse pub is a great walk before a well earned rest back in the comfort of The Roost.
We are ideally located for Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington where you can enjoy beaches, cycling, golf, nature tourism or just relaxing.
