Thank you for your open and honest feedback. l hear our caretaker was quite taken by your special canine guest who really enjoyed the National Trust woods, lakes and world class beaches on our doorstep. As a cottage team we work mercifully with the financial resources available to us to deliver an exceptional and long lasting unique holiday experience at an affordable and sensible rate to 'like minded' guests. And with that in mind could all would be guests reading this review please note that we operate directly and independently of all the off-shore booking agencies; and very rarely take bookings through this site. We are highly visible on line and this platform is NOT our preferred booking mechanism by a VERY long chalk! I am so pleased the cottage delivered the 'kerb appeal' both inside and out. As an Owner - we have to be upfront and honest: we fiercely protect the highly decorative and cleanliness standards of our property by almost 'triaging' our guests in the nicest possible way; partly to ensure they experience the best possible holiday, and also to ensure we mitigate threat and risk to the property by less desirable and respectful guests - yes they are out there! First and foremost this property is dog tolerant and not dog friendly. It has to work for those families who have pet or animal hair allergies and are not necessarily dog lovers. This is not a simple balancing act when it comes to hospitality! Lisa and her family have a wonderful new canine addition to their family and we could not have been happier with their respect and understanding of our house rules in respect to a puppy full of beans. An extract from Lisa's email reads: 'We loved the cottage, location, pub, beaches and NT sites. Didn't want to leave tbh. 'I hope we left no trace of Bramble..... She was so exhausted she slept the whole time because we were out in the sunshine most of the time.' A fantastic outcome for both parties - thank you Lisa for being so professional, honest and respectful of our treasured cottage and its amazing location and history.

Our guest Nicki travelled from Cornwall with her party to visit this very special part of the UK. We're glad our amazing coastal environment, inland freshwater lakes and woods were valued and appreciated. The cottage is privately located in a secluded woodland glade and so offers an unrivalled peaceful holiday experience. Our first review of 2016! Thank you for the wonderfully honest and impartial insights into this historic holiday cottage. Our guests arrived to a property which had benefited from a large amount of winter maintenance work and discovered a beautifully traditional welsh cottage freshly painted from top to toe with outdoor furniture gleaming with fresh stain and a sparkling new BBQ all ready and waiting! It's lovely to receive this appreciation of the hard work we invest into this property each year.
