We had a lovely relaxing stay at Tanner Croft Cottage. It is just in the right place to go and explore Grasmere. Clean and comfy. Everything you need in the kitchen. Bed was very comfy. Very quiet and lovely view.
We had a cosy comfortable stay and the location in Grasmere, which was a very peaceful retreat to return to. The local Co-op and shops are a minute’s walk away as is an excellent restaurant, the Jumble Room. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, a good deep bath, excellent wood burner, utility/storage room with hooks to dry clothes was a great touch and an outdoor patio to rest. Parking was a bit tricky as you need guidance to reverse safely but worth it for staying in so central a location. I would just recommend a lighter summer duvet for the main bedroom as we had great weather and a new hook for the shower so it stays in the same spot.
Tanner Croft is really well situated right in the middle of the Lake District. And the place is really quite, with no external noise except once a while with the sheeps singing.
We did hiking every day, and just had to take our car twice during that week.
I would even recommend to stay longer to really enjoy this area and explore all these "end of the world" like sites.
Tanner is quite well equipped. Maybe could be still better if equiped with some additional tea spoons and salad bowls, and a mixer/blender.
