Ground floor: Beamed lounge with seating for 6 adults, satellite TV and DVD, kitchen/dining room leading into private garden and patio. Fully fitted kitchen with gas cooker/oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster dishwasher and washing machine. Dining table with seating for 4.
1st floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 king size bed and 1 childrens bedroom sleeping upto 2 children in 2 single beds .
Bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin and WC.


Within 25 acres of an 18th century royal hunting residence, Le Pont D'Albart or Alabaster Bridge, boasts 4 cottages which have recently been renovated to a very high standard. There are 1, 2 and 3 bedroomed cottages which offer spacious living rooms with stunning lakeside views and well equipped kitchen/diners leading to private fenced gardens and patios. Near the market towns of St. Sauveur le Vicomte (8kms) and Bricquebec (9kms). Le Pont D'Albart is in a rural location yet central to all facilities and many places of interest. The nearest bakery is 1.5 kms and unspoilt sandy beaches of Carteret are a 20 min drive. Convenient for Cherbourg 30 mins. Bordering the regional forest with its dedicated walking and cycle tracks and within the national park. On site facilities include a shared outdoor heated swimming pool, private fishing lake (carp, pike, tench, roach) 1 km of private stream, free internet in cottages ,games room and children's play area.Adventure sports available locally.

Superb and relaxing holiday

We had superb stay at Le Pont D’Albart, the accommodation was well appointed and we had everything we needed, comfortable beds, lovely clean facilities and all set in a beautiful peaceful surroundings. All this lead to a lovely and relaxing holiday, exploring nearby towns, markets, bakeries and beaches.

Beautiful house in a peaceful setting

Sid and Zeena are extremely accommodating hosts with a lovely property. Sid works very hard to keep the property nice and enjoyable for guests, and it shows. I would recommend without hesitation. I hope to be back!

Wonderful holiday

We have just returned from a family holiday which included 7of our grandchildren aged 6 to 16. We occupied 4of the gites. They were all spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped. The owners Sid and Zeena were very helpful. The facilities especially for the children , were second to none. It surpassed all expectations. We usually go away once a year in this large family group, and in the words of my 8 year old granddaughter 'This holiday is the best ever, even better than the last two I remember.I cannot recommend this holiday location highly enough. Perfekt fĂŒr eine Auszeit

Stell Dir vor, Du hörst in der Nacht nichts außer den Rufen eines Kauzes. Bei Tagesanbruch erwartet Dich ein traumhafter Blick ĂŒber den See und das kleine Tal. Bilderbuch-AtmosphĂ€re pur! Wir waren ziemlich viel unterwegs und haben es genossen, am Abend nach Les Hirondelles heimzukommen. Der Ferienwohnung mangelt es an nichts, leider war unser Aufenthalt zu kurz, um den Pool und den See ausgiebig in Anspruch nehmen zu können. Sid und Zeena sind perfekte Gastgeber und berĂŒcksichtigen jeden Wunsch. Die VerstĂ€ndigung ist fließend auf Deutsch, Englisch oder Französisch möglich. Ein Klasse-RĂŒckzugsort, super geeignet um seine Ferien dort zu verbringen oder die Gegend zu erkunden.

Un emplacement idéal, ainsi qu'un hÎte trÚs accueillant

IsolĂ© au coeur d'une petite vallĂ©e champĂȘtre, au bord d'un ruisseau et d'un bel Ă©tang, le gĂźte fait partie d'un ensemble de cinq hĂ©bergements touristiques amĂ©nagĂ©s dans une ancienne ferme en pierre qui a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©novĂ©e par les propriĂ©taires depuis une vingtaine d'annĂ©es. Les abords du gĂźte sont exceptionnels : paysage de bocage, Ă©tang avec canoĂ«s Ă  disposition, salle de jeux avec table de ping-pong, billard, kicker ; et enfin une piscine de belle dimension protĂ©gĂ©e Ă  l'intĂ©rieur d'un clos. Tous ces Ă©quipements sont partagĂ©s mais accessibles librement. Notre gĂźte comptait deux chambres (un lit double et deux lits simples). TrĂšs spacieux et trĂšs propre Ă  l'arrivĂ©e. EquipĂ© simplement mais avec tout le confort minimal nĂ©cessaire et un petit jardin privatif avec terrasse. Sid, l'hĂŽte des lieux, est super accueillant et trĂšs disponible. Les rĂšgles sont claires et prĂ©cises et c'est rassurant pour tout le monde. Il y a une boulangerie Ă  cinq minutes, dans le village d'Ă  cĂŽtĂ© et la ville la plus proche est Ă  dix minutes (Bricquebec). La cĂŽtĂ© ouest est Ă  vingt minutes et propose des sites fabuleux : Port-Bail, Carteret, Baubigny et un peu plus loin, Vauville, puis le Cap (avec le Nez de Jobourg). Cherbourg et sa cĂ©lĂšbre CitĂ© de la mer est Ă  45 minutes. Bref, tout est facilement accessible pour passer un sĂ©jour au coeur du "Cotentin par nature".

Peace, quiet and fun family time

We (my husband, me and our 8 month old son) have just returned from a week in Les Hirondelles and we will definitely be returning. Location - the peace and quiet was only shattered by the sound of a baby shouting. As the baby belonged to us we can't really complain. Saying that the other guests swore blind they didn't hear him so the glazing must be good. It is a drive to anywhere but it was perfect for exploring the D-Day beaches and having somewhere quiet to come back to. Accommodation - clean, everything we needed, excellent WiFi and nice to have freesat. Facilities - the pool was fantastic (we were in it every day) and the grounds were lovely for a walk or just a sit and relax.

Wonderfull

This was a really lovely cottage with great views over the lake and set in picturesque countryside. Ideally placed to discover Normandy. The owners, Sid and Zeena, live on site and give you total privacy but are really helpful if you need it. We loved our week there and will definitely return. We can't recommend it enough.

Les Hirondelles - fab holiday

This has to be one of the best holidays we have had. The owners (on site) were as helpful as could be and the accommodation was fresh and spotlessly clean. Our two children 11 & 14 loved going out on the lake in the rowing boat, the pool was just right to cool off in, and the games room was well used in the evening. The gite was well furnished and equipped. We visited a different beach every day - all glorious and within a 20 - 30 minute drive. A very relaxing, refreshing holiday and I'm sure we will be back.
