Beautifully restored and ancient villa 'Poggio maria' on top of a hill, with beautiful 360 degree views. Free WIFI. In the heart of wine and slow food UNESCO heritage. You will lack nothing here! Close to restaurants, nice villages, Mediterranean Sea (50 minutes by car), Monferrato and Langhe-Roero vineyards. Large swimming pool 12 x 6, pool house with BBQ and outdoor kitchen. Several terraces, 2 fireplaces and 1 wood stove. Central heating, 3 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms with 2-person box springs that are easy to split into single beds. TV with canal digital, you can see every channel you want!

Großartiger Aufenthalt mit 3 Familien

Wir hatten eine super Zeit in der Villa. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind einzigartig, wunderschön gelegen. Wir waren im Juni 2025 mit insgesamt 12 Personen (3 Familien mit 6 Erwachsenen und 6 Kindern) zu Gast und wurden sehr herzlich von Monica empfangen. Die Kinder haben den Pool geliebt und die ganze Anlage rund um das Haus bietet viel Platz zum Entdecken und spielen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es hat richtig Spaß gemacht auf dem Gasherd zu kochen bzw. auch im Poolhaus zu grillen. Zum Einkaufen nach Acqui Terme sind es nur gute 10 Minuten und man findet alles was man braucht. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Entspannte Tage in schönem Anwesen

Wir waren mit 9 Freunden im Haus und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Für uns war alles vorhanden, was wir brauchten. Ausstattung von guter Qualität und geschmackvoll. Auch ein Regentag war kein Problem mit Leseszonen und großem Tisch für Spiele. Highlight der traumhaft gelegene Pool.Abends wurde gemeinsam gekocht und gegessen. Eine rundherum tolle Woche. Dank auch an Monica für die freundliche Betreuung!

Das Ferienhaus ist ein absoluter Traum und wundervoll eingerichtet. Wir waren für eine Woche mit 8 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern dort. Toller Poolbereich und sehr gut ausgestattete Küche.

Hilltop location with a great view, nicely kept and renovate old stone house, new pool facilities, spacious bedrooms and nice living rooms. Kitching fully functional. Suggestions: separate pool towels and fans in the bedrooms. Enjoy our stay very much.

Ein kleines Paradies im Piemont

Eine Woche in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung ist Balsam für die Seele!! Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet, alles sehr gepflegt, es fehlt einem an Nichts. Kurz gesagt: Wir haben diese Woche sehr genossen.

An excellent Piemonte base

The house is lovely and spacious, more than comfortable for 6 of us. The upstairs living spaces, terrace and around the pool are especially inviting. Our only complaint might be with the lighting in the kitchen especially and the dining room somewhat too. We cooked a lot with the excellent fresh pastas, vegetables etc from nearby Acqui Termi, but had to bring 3 lamps down from the upstairs bedrooms to have enough light to do so. Day trips to beautiful Piemonte towns (Alba, Bubbio, Barolo, Acqui Termi and more) were easy and the countryside is of course gorgeous. It was too cool to swim when we were there; the house is probably best appreciated when its outdoor spaces can be fully utilized. Depending on the composition of your group, the layout/location of the bathrooms might involve considered logistics: one with a large stall shower and a double sink is reachable only through one of the ground floor bedrooms; the smallest (with a small stall shower) is on the ground floor through the laundry/utility room off the dining room; the third is upstairs for 3 bedrooms, with one sink and a bathtub with handheld shower. All in all, we spent a wonderful, relaxing week at the house, eating and drinking our way through Piemonte.

Heaven on earth!

We spend one week in july 2018 in this house and we LOVED it. The house, pool, interior and location was love at first sight. We had no problemes with either the house or the landlord. A minor detal is the location of the house - it´s not on Google Maps but the owner was very helpfull (again). We hardly left the house for one week - we spent the time at the pool and by the BBQ. Prachtig huis, heel smaakvol en volledig ingericht. Fijne en ruime (slaap)kamers, drie heerlijke terrassen met prachtig uitzicht en een geweldig mooi groot zwembad. De eigenaren doen er verder alles aan om het hun gasten naar de zin te maken: een welkom ontvangst en in alles is ruim voorzien (keukengerei, borden, bestek, boeken, tijdschriften, spellen, etc.). Wij hebben een topweek gehad en komen graag terug!

Cette maison est géniale et tout à fait adaptée à des vacances en famille ou entre amis. Nous étions 3 couples avec 6 enfants et avons passée une semaine de farniente autour de la piscine et du barbecue. La maison est spacieuse, chacun avait son espace et la préparation des repas était facilitée par un très bon équipement des ustensiles de cuisine et de vaisselle. Nous avons passé beaucoup de temps autour de la piscine nettoyée régulièrement par Mario, un ami des propriétaires. La vue est superbe, donnant à 360° sur la vallée piémontaise. Bref que du bonheur ! A réserver les yeux fermés.

Mathieu and I instantly fell in love with Poggio Maria, on first sight. The house has everything we ever wished for and even more. All traditional piedmontese ceilings, beautiful plot on to of a hill with 360 panoramic views, perfectly restored, with respect for the traditional features, by the former owner

What makes this property unique

Close to many restaurants en wine bars, close to Acqui Terme and many other charming villages like Roccaverano, Monastero Bormida, Terzo, the wineyards of Monferrato, and off course the Flowers Riviera. Also Turin and Milan can be explored in a one day trip (1,5 h drive by car).
