Casa Prensa is a charming 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa situated in a traquil area just outside of Carvoeiro but only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Carvoeiro, local beaches, restaurants, shops, bars and activities.



There is a private 8m x 4m swimming, outdoor shower and built in barbecue with adjoining seating area. The garden is well tended with mature pine trees. A spacious driveway offers an abundance of car parking space.



The house is equipped with air conditioning throughout, free wi-fi, satellite TV and a safe. A cot and highchair are available on request.



There are several stunning sandy beaches all within a 5 - 10 minute drive of the villa. The villa is only a short drive/taxi ride to Carvoeiro centre from where there are boat trips to the vast array of caves and caverns in the area. There is a scuba diving centre nearby, kayaking, pedaloes and much more. Carvoeiro hosts many open-air musical events throughout the summer months.



The ground floor consists of open plan living / dining area which opens onto a large terrace overlooking the swimming pool, a fully equipped, recently renovated kitchen, two bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, and a further family bathroom. On the first floor resides the master bedroom with double bed, en-suite bathroom and a spacious first floor terrace with stunning views of the surrounding area and distant sea views.



Inside the villa is an information book with emergency contact numbers and useful information about the villa and the local area. Guests are also provided with a 24h contact number so they can contact the property manager in the event of a problem or with regards to any questions pertaining to the house.



We recommend hiring a car when staying at Casa Prensa. However buses are available in the area and local taxi firm numbers are provided in the house information book.



Tourist tax

Please note that on 13th April 2024 a new law was passed approving a new tourism tax (Taxa Municipal Turística de Lagoa). All guests aged 13 years and over are required to pay this tax. The amount is €2 per person per night during high season (April – October) and €1 per person per night during low season (November – March). There is a cap of 7 nights on the tax. Therefore for all reservations in excess of 7 nights, you still only pay the tax for 7.

Absolutely beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful area to stay. The villa was gorgeous the pool was brilliant, we could not get enough of it! So peaceful and tranquil. Michelle was so helpful and always responded to my emails so quickly. We used Ubers to get around. They are really easy to book, however some drivers found it hard to get us back to the villa as it didn’t seem to register on their sat nav! We had to pin drop our location to show them where we were staying so they could get us back. We had such a lovely holiday. The villa provided everything we needed. The beds were clean and comfortable. Lovely beaches near by. We will definitely go back next year if we can.

Wunderschöne, ruhig gelegene Villa mit traumhaftem Pool. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war sehr sauber und alles war wie beschrieben vorhanden. Die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir würden die Villa jederzeit wieder buchen. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Wij verbleven hier 1 week en het was geweldig. Het huis is heel ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zwembad is fantastisch. Alleen de badkamers zijn echt aan vervanging toe.

Schönes Villa mit Weitsicht

Wir haben uns sehr wohl im Haus gefühlt, die Lage war traumhaft ruhig und wunderschön in der Natur gelegen. Einkaufen und essen gehen ist mit kurzen Autofahrten auch schnell zu erledigen, wunderschöne Buchten sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Insgesamt eine perfekte Ausgangslage für einen entspannten Algarve-Urlaub.

We wanted a quiet break and we got it - perfect place for our needs. Lovely villa well looked after.

Only downside was the mosquitos. Ruined our last 2 days (first 4 were great) cos we got so many bites and dreaded going to sleep. Plugs or candles definitely should supplied. You need a car for this villa but information in booklet very good. Very good communications with agents/owner before we arrived and visited to say hello the day after we arrived - nice touch and very friendly and helpful. Welcome food pack was great idea. Definitely go on Benagil Sea Cave boat ride that leaves from Benagil Beach.

A fun family holiday

We spent a fortnight in this villa last summer. The location was very peaceful and quiet with lovely views of the surrounding area. The villa itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Although provided with detailed directions, we had a little problem finding the villa but this was quickly resolved after a quick phone call to the agent. We were concerned that lack of air conditioning would present a problem but fans were provided in all the bedrooms and we were pleasantly surprised how cool the villa kept in spite of the August heat. The kids spent every waking moment at the villa in the pool. Our youngest even learnt to swim without arm bands! We went to the restaurant Chicken George a couple of times due its close proximity to the villa and the excellent chicken piri-piri they served. This was ideal for evenings when we didn't want to go too far afield as it was only a couple of minutes walk from the house. We made several excursions including the water park, a boat trip around the caves and a trip to the Zoomarine which is sort of a theme park/ sealife centre. All were thoroughly enjoyable for adults and children alike. Carvoeiro is a lovely town and we highly recommend for family holidays. There was live music every night from a stage in the square next to the beach. The kids could play and dance to the music whilst we supervised from one of the bar terraces adjacent to the stage.

Lovely Villa In Tranquil Location But Near Beaches

We enjoyed a beautiful 10 days in Casa Prensa in September. The villa was a little removed from the hubub of the town but only a few minutes drive/taxi ride away. The area was very tranquil and exactly what we needed. We spent many days around the pool soaking up the sun, grilling on the BBQ and simply relaxing. The nearest beaches were only a couple of kilometers away and the coastline was stunning with its striking cliffs and rock formations. We ventured into Carvoeiro on several occasions for dinner in the evening. There was no shortage of restaurants to choose from and the Portuguese cuisine was simply divine. It did not cost a lot to get a taxi back to the villa in the evenings and me being a keen jogger, it was a pleasant run into town to pick up the car the following day. The villa itself was well equipped. Although we were provided with contact numbers in case of problems, no such problems arised. The house information book was very informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the villa and Carvoeiro and the surrounding area is lovely. We hope to return.
