Aregos View Home is a typical house in Baião, situated in the beautiful area of Douro Valley with amazing views to the river and the mountains. The house was totally renovated in 2017.
It has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a dinning area and a sofa bed.
You can also enjoy a barbecue in the garden, or the swimming pool that is shared with the guests of Douro Vista Home (the house next door).
There is also a parking area so you don't have to worry about traveling by car.
If you prefer to take the train, the house is situated 500m up the hill to Aregos station. It has also a grocery shop 800m from the house and some restaurants nearby.

Nice 4 days in the Douro Valley

Our 4 days stay was a really niice experience. The house was just as advertised and the pool and outside area even beyond. Our host Fatima was really super friendly as well as helpful with all kinds of questions.

Beautiful old school douro location

Everything was as advertised ,clean and functional. The host went out of her way to make sure that my experience was first class and it was. A big shout out to her neighbor who pitch hit for her When she hurt her leg. It’s very close to the train station maybe five minutes by car and it made the right into Douro very very easy.

Douro river view

This property was lovely but very remote. It over looks the Douro river. There is a lovely restaurant just up the road but really nothing else. No grocery store, market or gas stations for miles. If you are looking to relax and bring your groceries with you it is perfect. We did drive an hour or so to do some lovely wine tastings at A&D, Quinta de Santa Theresa and Popa winery.

Quiet place with beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay at this rustic house in Douro valley. Fatima was very kind and helpful, and took the time to answer all my questions, in spite of having a family emergency. The location is pretty remote, so make sure to pick up groceries and essentials en route. I think a car is a must. The views are spectacular. It wasn't yet warm enough to use the pool, but I'm sure it'll be lovely in the summer. On the other hand, it was early spring and the orange blossoms and wisteria scented the air, wildflowers were everywhere, and there were fewer crowds. Feels like a good tradeoff to me!

Simply Charming!

This property offers magnificent views, a swimming pool overlooking the river, outdoor dining terrace, grapevines, and the house is simply charming. It is conveniently located near the train station and near a small town. Fatima is so pleasant and could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Fatima offered to have fresh bread delivered to the house for our breakfast. We requested the large loaf, and it was actually too big! I would love the opportunity to stay at this lovely property again in the future. Thanks for your hospitality, Fatima. It was greatly appreciated!

Relax and enjoy the views

Everything was perfect. Our host IS exceptional. Way above and beyond. The personal touches... amazing. The ambiance spectacular. We did not have a car and we enjoyed the walk to the market for basics and had a scrumptious dinner at a restaurant recommended by the host. The train rides along the river!!!! It was 2 days of serenity......I loved the rooster too! We were treated to fireworks in celebration of São João from across the river!!!! We would definitely stay again, with a car.......longer to enjoy what the countryside offers.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit Pool

Es war herrlich! Wir wurden nett empfangen und konnten ständig mit Fatima kommunizieren. Das schöne alte, mit viel Liebe renovierte Haus ließ keine Wünsche offen, und die Aussicht auf den Douro ist ein Traum! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Un emplacement idéal !

⁃ Nous avons adoré notre séjour et l'accueil que nous avons reçu autant de la propriétaire que des voisins. Le pain livré a la porte le matin était délicieux, le panorama est époustouflant, particulièrement de la piscine. Les quelques problèmes de fonctionnement ont été réglé rapidement. L'emplacement tout près du train de la vallée du Douro est un plus autant pour aller plus haut dans la vallée que pour aller a Porto. Merci a Fatima, Déonilde, Michel et Carlos, et à la voisine, dont j ignore le nom, qui nous a donné de délicieuses oranges de son jardin.

Schöne Unterkunft mit fantastischer Aussicht

Das urig eingerichtete Haus fanden wir blitzeblank gereinigt vor. Die sympathische Besitzerin war jeder Zeit zu erreichen und war sehr hilfsbereit. Sie sorgte unter anderem dafür, dass unser verspätetes Gepäck von den sehr netten Nachbarn in Empfang genommen wurde und unsere Gasflasche (durch Deonilde) noch spät abends umgeklemmt wurde. Miguel (Nachbar) half uns bei der Beschaffung von Brennholz. Die Aussicht ist unverbaut und beeindruckend. Das WLAN funktioniert unerwartet gut (da könnte man sich in Deutschland mal ein Beispiel dran nehmen). Die am Haus wachsenden Orangen schmecken frischgepresst hervorragend. Zu empfehlen ist eine Zugfahrt nach Porto (Sao Bento) Wir waren täglich wandern. Zu empfehlen sind die Flusswanderung in Amarante, die Runde von Cinefaes (Startpunkt Tendais, etwas südlich von Cinefaes) und Runde von São Nicolau (Startpunkt Bahnhof Barqueiros) Vielen Dank an Fatima Kirsten & Kai

Parfait pour visiter le Douro

Maison très propre, équipée du juste nécessaire et idéalement placée (700 m de la gare de train qui est le meilleur moyen de se déplacer dans la région). La vue est à couper le souffle depuis la piscine et la terrasse. La maison est en pierre donc bien isolée en cas de forte chaleur. Literie très bien. Une des salles d’eau est très petite mais cela ne pose aucun problème. Nous avons été accueillis par Deonilde qui est une femme adorable, discrète et à l’écoute. Traumhaus im Dourotal

Es handelt sich um ein wunderschönes altes portugiesisches Steinhaus mit sehr viel Charme. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend, die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Bäder neu und die Küchenausstattung war perfekt. Alles war sehr sauber. Der kleine Garten und der Pool waren super, der Blick ins Dourotal ist atemberaubend schön. Fátima hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen, die Kommunikation mit ihr war hervorragend, bei Fragen gab es sofort eine Antwort, Wünsche wurden umgehend erfüllt. Ich würde hier 6 von 5 Punkten vergeben wollen, also mehr als empfehlenswert.

Traditionelles Haus mit spektakulärem Ausblick

Mit der Wegbeschreibung von Fatima haben wir das Haus relativ schnell gefunden und wir waren sofort von dem wunderschönenen Ausblick ins Dourotal gefangen genommen. Es handelt sich um ein traditionelles Haus mit zwei Stockwerken und einer Terasse im Erdgeschoss von der man einen schönen Blick ins Dourotal hat. Ein kleiner Pool befindet sich nebenan. Fatima, unsere Gastgeberin, war leider familiär verhindert, so daß wir sie nicht persönlich kennenlernen konnten, aber wir hatten viel Kontakt über WhatsApp. Im Haus war alles notwendige vohanden und nachdem wir uns in den zahllosen kleinen Bergsträßchen zurechtgefunden hatten, war es auch ganz einfach Cafés, Minimercoados und Restaurants ausfindig zu machen. Sehr hilfreich waren auch die Informationen, die von unserer Gastgeberin bereitgestellt wurden. Wir waren nur drei Nächte in der Unterkunft und wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Gerne wieder. Nous avons été très heureux de séjourner chez Fátima qui est une personne fantastique et toujours disponible sur WhatsApp (regret de n'avoir pas pu passer du temps ensemble, notre séjour était trop court!!). Deonilde qui était sur place est aux petits soins pour nous, un grand merci! La maison est merveilleusement bien située pour une vue à couper le souffle. La piscine est très agréable. Attention, privilégier les routes nationales pour arriver, Google Maps nous a parfois fait passer par de toutes petites routes très étroites!

Beautiful view

Fatima is an excellent host, providing a thorough overview of the home and local attractions. The home was traditional home with three foot wide walls and breathtaking view. Enjoyed eating on the terrace. The resident orange and lemon trees providing fresh fruit the was quit unexpected and delicious. We used the lemons to make cocktails with the white Port we purchase further up river in the Port region of the Duro Valley. Altogether a wonderful stay. Thanks

Excellant séjour, super accueil des propriétaires !

Belle maison, facile à vivre, les espaces extérieurs, parking, jardin, barbecue et piscine sont une plus-value très appréciable. Au delà de cela, c'est la gentillesse des propriétaires et du couple s'occupant localement de la maison, qu'il faut retenir. Fatima est super, très réactive sur WhatsApp, elle a été aux petits soins avec nous, merci à elle et à son mari. Notre séjour a été trop court, d'autant qu'il a été "pollué" par la panne de notre voiture, que nous avons laissée au Portugal ! Merci à vous et peut-être à une prochaine fois.....

O Douro é tão belo

Localização excelente com ótima vista para o Douro. A piscina é excelente mas partilhada e este facto deve ser devidamente destacado no anúncio. É sempre uma questão de sorte. Existem moradores/habitantes vizinhos e seria também de fazer essa menção. A D. Deolinda e seu marido são impecáveis e super cuidadosos. Nunca faltou nada. Desde o pão fresco até ao peixinho para grelhar. Gostámos imenso.
