Enjoy all that the Adirondacks has to offer in this private, contemporary classic Adirondack style 3BR/3 bath home on 15 secluded acres with mountain views. The property is located 3 min from the center of Keene, 15 minutes from the Olympic Sports Complex, 20 min from Lake Placid and 20 min from Whiteface Mountain.

Custom built by a local craftsman, this 3000 sq/ft home offers an open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, gourmet kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, three beautifully appointed bedrooms and a spacious sleeping loft. Airy and uncluttered, the interior has been designed and furnished in the style of the region with comfort, ease and entertainment in mind. The large porch overlooking Giant and Hurricane Mountains invites you to plan your day over a morning cup of coffee and relax after a day of outdoor adventure with Clifford Brook pleasantly babbling in the background.

The bedroom on the main floor has a queen size bed and private access to the porch. The upstairs bedroom features a queen bed with beautiful mountain views. The third bedroom, at the garden level, includes a king size bed, a twin bunk and an oversized closet. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. In addition, the loft has two daybeds and the game/tv room has a queen size sofa bed. The dining room table seats 10. The house has radiant floor heat throughout.

The house is equipped with foosball and ping-pong tables, a chess table, card and board games, HDTV, Apple TV, movies, DirecTV, video games and Starlink satellite Internet service. The house is equipped with a Verizon cellular booster. Motion activated security camera installed on driveway only.

Note that an apartment above the garage that sleeps up to four guests may be rented separately. We will never rent the apartment if guests are staying in the main house.

Everything about this property was top-notch, from the location to the Adirondack style, to the thoughtful touches throughout. The location in Keene is just a very short ride to Lake Placid, but honestly we didn’t stray too far from home base. There are so many hiking trails nearby, with lovely shops and markets as well. We stocked up on groceries in Saranac Lake at the Aldi there, so didn’t even have to go out for meals. We would highly recommend this home!!

Incredible Adirondack property

This is a beautiful property in a great location just outside of Keene. The property is remote (though there is prompt plowing during snow storms), but only a short distance from Keene and a full range of outdoor activities (in the winter - skiing, ice skating, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice climbing, just to name a few). The home itself is well appointed, clean, and had everything we needed, including broadband internet access. The views are incredible, both those overlooking the mountains from the porch and those next the large hearth in the living area. The host was also very responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed prior to and during our arrival. We will certainly be staying here again.

Nous avons séjournés pour la seconde fois à ce chalet. Nous aimons beaucoup le fait que ce soit proche de presque l'intégralité de tous les sentiers de randonnée. Egalement, le chalet est très confortable. Nous aimons avoir des épices dans l'armoire afin de ne pas avoir à devoir tout acheter sur place si l'on veut cuisiner un peu. Nous reviendrons ! We stayed for the second time at this chalet. We really liked that it's close to almost all of the hiking trails. Also, the chalet is very comfortable. We like to have spices in the cupboard so that we don't have to buy everything locally if we want to cook a little. We will come back !
