Lovely 4 bedroom cottage at The Bay, Filey (Wifi & Netflix included).

The Bay, Filey is an award-winning, holiday village with direct access to miles of stunning beach. Facilities inc swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, beauty room and dog friendly pub/restaurant.

Meadowside House is a beautiful, cosy, family and dog friendly holiday cottage with plenty of space. It's very well equipped with lots of extra provisions to make your stay easier/more enjoyable and to keep everybody entertained. It's well suited to a range of guests from families and friends to retired couples/friends. Ideal for special celebrations and multi-generation family holidays/stays.

When the weather is good it's well positioned backing onto a lovely grassed area with boules court. Perfect for sitting out on the patio and enjoying some relaxed time after a day on the beach or visiting the surrounding area. Ideal for parents watching their children play.

In winter and when the weather is not so good the Meadowside House is equally inviting and cosy. You can still wrap up and enjoy a walk on the miles of stunning beach and then return to the warm cottage, snuggle up on the sofa (blankets provided), open the wine and chocolates and take some time out to watch a good film or box set on Netflix, play one of the games provided or read one of the books/magazine supplied. The on-site pub is also very cosy in winter.

The cottage is decorated beautifully with plenty of space and quality equipment and homeware provided.

Downstairs there is an open plan living/kitchen area with patio doors leading onto a patio overlooking the boules court area, separate dining area, downstairs double bedroom, porch and downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, second double bedroom, third bedroom with bunk beds plus a single bed, landing area and family bathroom.

We aim to make your stay as enjoyable and easy as possible by providing lots to make your stay run smoothly and packing easier, including a luxury welcome hamper on arrival.

The kitchen is fully fitted with cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer and lots of equipment making cooking in easy. However, if you prefer not to cook there's the option of the dog friendly on-site pub which serves food and there are also lots of take-aways and restaurants in the area.

Beds are made up on arrival and towels supplied.

Use of the on-site swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym are included.

Brilliant accommodation

Would highly recommend this property. The owners go above and beyond to make you welcome, a lovely welcome pack plus a small gift for the children and in our case there were six! So chocolate oranges were a real treat for them. Lots of extras including games, dvds and some beach equipment All home comforts provided , excellent decor throughout and outdoor patio furnishing to complete the setting. Also excellent communication with the owner prior to our stay.

Family holiday

Meadowside was lovely and clean the welcome pack was a great surprise it had everything you would need & the children loved there little surprise too. The complex it was on was great not to noise although the shop & pub were very expensive. Easy access to the beach which was great for the kids and the dogs so all round a great holiday.

Beautiful property and first class service from owner.

Really enjoyable experience for all of our family. The only downsides were toddler pool being out of action , which we were warned about in advance. Also the lovely meadow being inaccessible so then the great many dog owners were walking dogs on greens near homes.

I live with my husband and 2 teenage children and work from our home in West Yorkshire managing our holiday cottages. I gave up my job as an Analyst to run our holiday cottages because it fits in with our personal circumstances and it's something I enjoy doing. I believe holidays and short get-aways are very important to people and I like to do all we can to ensure our guests' time spent at Meadowside is made special. I love getting feedback from our guests about the fabulous times they have had and special memories that they have made. I work on the philosophy that if you do the absolute best for your guests, treat them well and provide lovely things for them, not only does the this improve the time our guests have but it also means guests are more likely to look after the properties and return again and again. To date, I'm very happy that this has been true. We have had lots of really lovely, considerate guests and have regular guests who return year after year.

Why they chose this property

We had bought our first, other property, at The Bay (Meadowside Cottage) on a bit of a whim. We were on a break nearby, with the family and our dog and fell in love with The Bay and the property. Having started to rent it out we discovered how much others also loved our property and The Bay too, and we really enjoyed sharing our love for the place with others. So we bought this beautiful property which we thought would suit larger groups (and we can go with our extended family too). We love how dog friendly the property and Bay is. We love being able to get away somewhere really special, with a touch of luxury, with the kids and the dog. We love how peaceful the site is, the gorgeous meadow being so close. We love that dogs were very welcome on-site and allowed in the on-site pub, but most of all we love the stunning views on the way to the beach and on the beach. We are well travelled and have been to many beautiful places but Filey Bay remains one of our favourite places.
