This wonderful oceanfront home was recently renovated and includes all-new deck and beach walkway, metal roof, siding, windows, outside shower enclosure, interior/exterior doors, luxury vinyl plank flooring/ceramic tile throughout, bathrooms, and granite countertops. It has also been freshly painted with many new furnishings for the upcoming season! Includes WiFi internet, 4 flat-screen cable TVs, DVD, central A/C, ceiling fans, Adirondack deck chairs, picnic table, swing, grill, and starter house supplies.

If you want to stay in a family-friendly atmosphere -- and enjoy a breathtaking million-dollar view of the beautiful Atlantic ocean at your doorstep -- then you'll love your stay at Kure Beach at this lovely home! This incredible oceanfront cottage is an affordable getaway in the heart of Kure Beach, on Pleasure Island. It's within close walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the renowned Kure Beach fishing pier!

This home has a spacious deck with a covered porch swing, a grill, a picnic table and resin Adirondack style chairs. Perfect for your picnic or barbecue, listening to the surf and feeling the ocean breeze. Watch the waves rolling in, seagulls flying by, and dolphins frolicking in the ocean -- right in front of you! You'll have your own walkway to the beach, and the convenience of an outside shower. There's plenty of parking too.

This home is ideally suited for a small family (with 2 double size beds and 2 queen size beds). The master bedroom (with queen size bed and cable TV) is on the lower level and faces the ocean. There is also a full bath, a living room/den with a big picture window (also looking out to sea) and large LED flat screen TV, a full-size kitchen with updated appliances and dining bar, and a pantry with front-loading washer and dryer. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms with ocean views and a shared full bath. One of the bedrooms has two double size beds (with cable TV) and the other bedroom has a queen size bed (also with cable TV).

Every room is decorated in a seaside theme in festive colors. It is smoke-free and pet-free. Amenities include WiFi internet, 4 flat-screen cable TVs, DVD, and telephone service. Routine departure sanitation service is included. Bedding/linens/towels are not included but may be rented at very reasonable rates.

While vacationing at our oceanfront home, you'll be surrounded by plenty of attractions. Great surf fishing is available -- on the Kure fishing pier, by charter boat, or off the beach itself in front of the cottage. For sightseeing, Historic Fort Fisher, Carolina Beach State Park, and the NC Aquarium are favorite local attractions on Pleasure Island within minutes of the cottage. A short drive will take you to historic Wilmington and the Battleship North Carolina -- just 15 miles away. And you may wish to take a day trip to beautiful Southport, by the NC Ferry system at nearby Fort Fisher. There is always something to do for everyone in the family!

For those of you who have vacationed at Kure Beach before, you know what a true gem this beach is! This special home is located in a residential section of the island and is ideal for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. With moderate temperatures and so much available to see and do, it's a nice vacation destination for all ages at any time of the year. Dream house

The house was perfect. Not many like this left on the island. Perfect size for a smaller family with out paying a fortune like the rest of them. Beautiful views of the beach and the pier. Will definitely be going back to this little oasis.

Amazing Vacation Home!

We had an amazing stay! The house was absolutely beautiful—spacious, clean, and so thoughtfully designed. The back deck was a favorite spot for relaxing, and the private beach access made everything incredibly convenient. We’re already planning to come back next year, hopefully for even longer. Seven days just isn’t enough to enjoy everything this home—and the area—have to offer!

Had a great time at the property! Was there with our family of four including two teenagers. Excellent location right on the beach and easy walk to the pier and restaurants. Carolina beach is a short drive for more dining options all of which were excellent. House itself was very nice and updated and if anything the pictures don’t really do it justice. AC was ice cold and had everything we needed. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!

The Sandcastle is small, but perfect for a family vacation. Everything was as described in the listing. It is in a nice section of Kure Beach -- away from more densely populated areas. A great place to stay.

Seven Days @ the Sandcastle

Our seven days at the Sandcastle were a simple delight! The cottage has been updated so thoroughly it felt as though we were staying in a new home. The home exceeded all our needs and expectations. The furnishings, the kitchen, the deck area, all are well thought out and well appointed, with great attention to the needs and whims of vacationers. It is in a great location, only steps from the ocean and conveniently within walking distance of the pier and the business/restaurant area of Kure Beach. We would definitely recommend the Sandcastle and will return in the future!

Kure Beach Vacation

We enjoyed this location and cottage. We were right on the beach and only 4 blocks from the pier. Great seafood at local restaurants. We walked on the beach everyday and found lots of sea shells and sharks teeth. Pretty sunrises and if you drive to the end of the beach great sunsets as well. House was clean and had what we needed for our stay.

Family Vacay!

This was such a wonderful vacation with my little family. The house is exactly as described. It was so conveniently located as well. I love the Sandcastle. My sister , my 2 grown sons and I spent a relaxing, sunny October week there. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. We enjoyed the home and swing and the view was spectacular. Jennifer was so easy to communicate with. We can't wait to come back!

What makes this property unique

Nice affordable single-family oceanfront home in desirable Kure Beach. Incredible location in the heart of Kure Beach with million dollar oceanfront views!

This is a family-friendly beach that is close to many conveniences and attractions.

Our favorite attractions are the North Carolina Aquarium and the Civil War sites at Fort Fisher!

The beach is nice for shelling and finding fossilized shark's teeth.

You can take a quick walk (only 4 blocks) to the Kure Beach Pier, restaurants, Bud & Joe's, arcade and the Oceanfront Park which hosts wonderful free summer concerts.

Carolina Beach boardwalk is a short drive away. The amusement rides and carnival games are perfect entertainment for the whole family. So are the weekly fireworks shows at the boardwalk hosted throughout the season.

You can also enjoy free family movies at the lake as well as the Saturday Farmer's Market.

The car ferry to Southport is a fun day trip to Sourthport you may want to consider.

Finally, downtown Wilmington is a great place to visit. We also love the historic Battleship North Carolina!
