Lovely Cottage Next To Knoebels Amusement Park, Outdoor Pavilion, WiFi, Fire Pit

Available for rent April through the end of October. These 3 bedroom / 1 baths "pet free" cottage in Elysburg, PA, is located within ~200 feet (3-5 min walk at best) of an entrance to Knoebels Amusement Park and features:
- Sleeping Accommodations for up to 10 people comfortably. Brand new enclosed shower; new furniture including two queen sofa beds.
- Large outdoor pavilion with three homemade swings, Double Picnic table, Ceiling fans, Stereo Surround Sound and outdoor kitchen with BBQ Gas Grill.
- Large outdoor fire pit with comfortable chairs. One bundle of firewood and kindling supplied free of charge. If more wood is needed/wanted, it can surely be purchased and delivered to the cottage. Please let Steve know when booking and it will be provided prior to your arrival.
- Internet, Wi-Fi included.
- Brand new high efficiency central air conditioner and heat (if needed).
- Newly renovated, painted living room with all new furniture including queen sofa beds, painted kitchen and bedrooms with new hardwood floors throughout the house.
- Full Bath, living room w/TV, VCR and Blu-ray players provided with a large selection of movies
- Fully equipped kitchen including large double-sided refrigerator, New Electric Range, Microwave, and all pots, pans, dishes and silverware you will need to cook mostly any meal
- Beautiful Covered carpeted Patio with Glider Swings and Chairs/table
**** All toiletries, linens, including bath towels, are not included, however can be provided for an additional charge. If linens are not requested/paid, you are required to bring your own linens (bath towels, bed sheets, pillowcases) and toiletries. However, comforters/blankets/pillows are provided for each bed. FYI - There is one external camera facing the driveway.

Convenient to visit Knoebels

We planned a family weekend at Knoebels with our kids and grandkids before heading back to school. This cottage was the perfect place for all of us to take advantage of the park and pool, which was only a short walk from the cottage. When a thunderstorm temporarily shut down the park, we had a place to relax and play games and choose from a collection of classic DVD movies. We finished the day around the fire pit and rocking on the porch swings. Steve was very helpful in communicating with us about all of the details of the property and our stay.

Great cottage and fun location

We loved staying at the cottage. It was clean and welcoming. The layout is nice. We loved the short walk to the park. We would definitely return. Steve was very helpful.

Best way to explore Knoebels park

The cabin had everything we needed and super close and convenient to the park. It was a 2 min walk to the rides and food inside the park. When the rides closed we had a great time sitting out back with a fire and hanging out.

Amazing Cottage

We have stayed at this cottage so many times I have lost count. We never stay anywhere else when visiting Elysburg. Steps from Knoebels and yet so peaceful. Coffee on the patio is the perfect beginning to our day. The cottage is wonderful - easily accommodates our family of between 6 to 8 adults. All the amenities of home and, quite frankly, we have stayed so often it actually feels like home!!! Already looking forward to our next visit in a few months. If you are looking for a fabulous place to stay when visiting Knoebels or Elysburg for any reason, look no further - I promise you will not be disappointed :)

Another Perfect Stay

Just wrapped up another perfect stay at our home away from home. We have stayed at this cottage so many times, it literally feels like a second home!! Although there are many houses nearby, it's situation makes you feel like you are in your own private oasis. An easy walk to Knobel's amusement park makes this the absolute best place to stay if you are planning to spend some time there. The layout of the cottage is fantastic with an open floor layout between the kitchen and living room which affords spacious areas for your entire party without feeling crowded. The bedrooms give each part of the party privacy with very little, if any, noise carrying between them. I cannot recommend this cottage enough. My family starts counting the days until our return as we are walking out the door to leave. Don't hesitate to make this your home away from home when visiting Knoebel's or the surrounding areas.

Awesome back yard

The coziness of the inside of this cottage is made up by the wonderful back yard area including the covered back porch, pavilion, outdoor games, fire pit, radio. The inside was not big enough for us to bring our puzzle table since we were using the pull out sofas. We used the kitchen table for the puzzle and ate outside. It was perfect! Steve was quick to respond to any questions. We look forward to our next stay.

Home Away From Home

Check in/out was a simple process. The cottage had everything we needed. There was plenty of room to sleep with the pullout sofas. Everyone was able to enjoy different areas and not feel crowded. I highly recommend this place!

Apples & Oranges

We recently got home from a family reunion at Steve's house (8 adults, 2 kids). Two years ago (2022) we rented a Knoebels cottage. There was no comparison. They're two totally different products, like apples & oranges. There are four specific areas we appreciated at Steve's house. Location: It's so close to the action, just a short walk into the park by the Black Diamond. Yet it's on a private drive and feels very secluded. No noisy neighbors. Layout: There's a large common room where we could hang out together. Our Knoebels cottage was 'boxy' and couldn't accommodate us well. Steve's house has a wonderful patio and picnic pavilion where we spent lots of time together. Comfort: All the furniture in Steve's house was 'real.' Like mattresses you'd want to have in your home, and comfy places to sit. All the flooring was recently upgraded. This was not the case in the Knoebels cottage. Convenience: Booking, paying for, and entering Steve's house was easy via Vrbo. Knoebels' system is clunky and needs an upgrade. Also, Steve's house is well stocked with everything you'll need to cook and enjoy your meals. We are big Knoebels fans, so we're not putting down their product. But you get what you pay for. In our case, we were happy to pay a little more to enjoy such a nice home. Looking forward to our next visit!

Easy check-in, clean living space, safe environment, and shockingly close to the park. House has pretty much everything you need for your stay - pots, pans, plates, utensils, small appliances, etc. Definitely recommend!

Another fabulous stay at the cottage

We have stayed at this cottage so many times, it feels like home! We come up to Elysburg twice a year (once for Knoebels and once for the Covered Bridge Festival) and would not even consider staying anywhere else. Steve is fantastic to deal with - very responsive to all communications. The cottage itself is wonderful - all the amenities of home. And the back yard area is amazing with the pavilion for outdoor dining or just relaxing and visiting. There is also a patio right off the back door for morning coffee rain or shine. I highly recommend this cottage - you will not be disappointed!!!!

My mother and father started to build this home in 1969. Each year we would add on and improve the property until my mother and father were aging and began to really enjoy the property in the mid to late 1980's. I grew up helping my parents build this cottage, and to this day, still enjoy every moment I spend at the cottage. My family enjoys the cottage with me as well. We continually improve our cottage each year. We truly love this cottage and hope you enjoy your stay!

What makes this property unique

Beautiful private cottage located literally right next to Knoebels Amusement Park. Walk to the park (3-5 min at best) with the children, have some great fun and stroll back to the cottage for a quick rest. Sit under the large pavilion with the three handmade swings, listen to your favorite music with the outdoor surround sound, and eat with the family on the extremely large handmade double picnic tables. Enjoy the fire pit!! Hear and listen to the sounds of "Ole Smokey".
