A Wonderful Week in Thones

Everything was very clean and comfortable. The chalet was really cozy with everything we needed for our holiday. Walking distance to Thones and in a good central position to explore the Alps. A friendly welcome by the hosts. Highly recommended!

Comfortable, compact chalet in the Thônes area

We stayed for two weeks in September in Le Lachet. It’s a compact, well equipped two bed chalet, located about 1km out of the small town of Thônes between Annecy and La Clusaz. The chalet had everything we needed and was very clean. There’s a dishwasher in the kitchen area and a small washing machine in a separate utility room (accessed from the outside). There is parking just at the rear of the chalet, and plenty of seating and a table on a decking area for outdoor living if the weather permits. There’s plenty of places to see in the area such as the Lake and the old town in Annecy. There’s another lake slightly further away at Aix-le-bains with a tree lined lakeside promenade and free parking. If you are prepared to travel a bit further, you can take a cable car up the mountain from Chamonix to view the high peaks of the Mont Blanc massive .. tickets are expensive but we figured it was a once in a lifetime thing (pick a clear day or you might be disappointed). Locally there are nice mountain drives and lakeside or river walks. Two great coffee shops we can recommend.. Mountain in Thônes and Lo Garâjo near Manigod. A couple of tips for British visitors.. Take your own towels, they’re not automatically included. I took a Google chrome cast and bought a double plug socket so I could watch English streaming channels, otherwise it’s just French channels on the tv which isn’t much fun. The host was very pleasant, we managed the handover fine despite the language barrier.

Le titre de l'annonce résume bien notre séjour !Un chalet cosy, bien équipé et d'une grande propreté.On s'y sent tout de suite bien avec une magnifique vue sur les montagnes. Une semaine au paradis !!! Véronique, la propriétaire, est très sympatique. Le chalet est vraiment mignon, bien équipé et situé dans un cadre très verdoyant et calme. La situation géographique est parfaite pour rayonner dans la région. Le seul petit bémol pour nous mais c'est très personnel est la qualité de la literie mais nous avons le dos un peu fragile. Nous avons passé 8 jours de rêve et nous reviendrons !
