The cabin was everything we could have asked for! It had everything we needed and the view from the back deck was gorgeous. The only thing I wish was that we would have been able to spend more time at the cabin! Super clean space and the perfect spot for my honeymoon!
The property was great! It was super clean and located a short drive to food, stores, and Mount Rushmore. The property had a beautiful view from the back porch. My family and I loved our stay and should have stayed longer.
Photos very accurately portray the place. Beautiful setting. Nice privacy, especially on deck. Comfy cabin. Bed was comfortable but creaky. Pull out couch pretty old but sufficient. Absolutely no issues with any bugs inside cabin. Very pleasant vibe inside cabin. Everything very functional and well maintained.
Our stay at the cabin was wonderful. The accommodation was everything described and honestly it exceeded our expectations. The view looking over the canyon from the deck was mesmerizing. Sadly, we only booked 5 nights - too little for the amount of sightseeing we packed-in. Next time we will schedule a longer stay!
Incredible view and just the right amount t of space for our family of 4 (kids 10,8) and dog. House had everything we could have needed and more. Exceeded our expectations!

Only thing I would change if I could would be to put a hot tub on the back deck.
Extremely quiet and peaceful, even with neighbors around. The back deck is a beautiful spot to enjoy mornings and evenings. Thoroughly enjoyed or stay
We enjoyed our accommodations. Thank you for all the extra amenities. It’s all the extra things I would find. The bag of coffee grounds, laundry items, extra toiletries and everything you could possibly need you provided. The cabin is in the very beautiful neighborhood mixed in with other homes nearby. We saw dear daily.
My husband and I rented this cabin for our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived at night so we were not able to see the whole property. When we woke the next morning, we were so amazed at the view and the that the cabin sits on a ravine/cliff. We were greeted by a family of deer and long horned sheep. We were so pleased and impressed we booked the cabin for my birthday. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a quiet break in the middle of nature. Beautiful!!

Cozy & Breathtaking at the same time!
Absolutely lovely true log cabin in a private, stunningly beautiful setting. You won't believe the view from the extra large deck! Floor to ceiling windows on the entire south side of the cabin bring the awesome beauty of Spring Creek Canyon indoors to you. And, all of this comes with warm and cozy furnishings, granite counter tops, the many amenities of home, and the sacred opportunity to observe wildlife in their natural habitat; be quiet, eyes wide open, and wait; the deer, turkeys, birds, and maybe even some big horn sheep will visit the yard - so awesome to see. We cannot wait to return! Jessica and Cole will make sure your stay is one to remember. :)

Fantastic!
This is a really well-crafted cabin--way more spacious than you'd expect, with a lot of thoughtful architectural details. It's well-stocked with paper goods, soap, coffee etc., and--without a doubt--the best set of kitchen knives I've run across in any cabin we've ever stayed in! Great deck with morning shade and a nice view. Internet was solid and AT&T cell coverage was good. Nice big TV and comfortable furniture. Owners are perfect hosts (Jess checked in on us once when we arrived then left us alone) and I'm sure they would have been responsive if we actually would have needed anything. The only issue we had was trying to figure out how to shut off the light above the counter next to the washer/dryer, which eventually we figured out was a motion sensor. Duh.
I was concerned the location would feel too suburban, but it's near the end of the lane, tucked away from the road above a little canyon, and there are only a half dozen other cabins/houses nearby. I never saw another human from the deck. The local people we met while walking up the road were very friendly. The location actually ended up being ideal to make day trips to downtown Rapid City (15-20 minutes) to grab a bite to eat and shop. We got up at about 5:30 one morning and beat the crowd to Mt. Rushmore (30 minute drive). Five cars in the parking lot. Try that!
Our cocker spaniel couldn't quite navigate the steps to the loft, so we slept on the sofa sleeper on the lower level which was perfectly comfortable, and she camped out under the table. We didn't see any bighorn sheep, but we saw plenty of deer and a couple of turkeys.
The only things I would suggest for renters... bring some paper plates (the cabin plates are very large!) and a perhaps a padlock if you want to secure the front door when you leave. I couldn't figure out a way to lock the place (we didn't really care, but some people might not like that.) All in all, we will definitely stay here again if we make another trip to the Black Hills area.
Thanks for a great time!!
The cabin was in a beautiful setting with great views and all the amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for morning coffee and tea. There is a herd of Big Horn sheep in the area, which we saw a number of times during our visit. The area is perfect for night star gazing as we had clear nights on our trip. We’ll definitely stay here again when we come to the Black Hills.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay here with our kiddo and dog. The cabin was bigger than I expected, kitchen was nicely stocked and everything was nice and comfortable. The views were amazing. I was a little worried that the cabin would be close to other rental properties, but all the homes were spaced out on large separate properties, with what seemed like at least an acre of land between each neighbor in either direction.
Our family had our first getaway of the year to South Dakota. The cabin was perfect for us! The kids loved the open front yard to run and play and the cabin was stocked with fun outside toys to entertain them. We all enjoyed snuggling up on the pull out bed and watching movies late into the night and waking up to the bright sunlight peeking in the back window wall in the mornings. The location was the perfect distance to Badlands National Park, Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Wind Cave National Park. Jess was quick to respond to any questions we had. We will be back!
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this cabin in the Black Hills. Beautiful inside and out, clean, very peaceful, well stocked and beyond, and absolutely gorgeous views. A short drive to all the sites, close to grocery, restaurants, and golf. Communication was on point with very quick responses and so friendly. We spent the days out site seeing and evenings cooking in and time on the deck. I highly recommend this cabin. You will not be disappointed!!
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The view from the back deck was beautiful and the perfect place for coffee in the morning before leaving to explore the area and a glass of wine in the evening after a busy day. Another plus, it is away from the throng of tourists.
