My daughter didn't like the hardness of the bed because it was harder than she's used to (we told her that she'd be fine) and we all would have like thicker pillows than the really thin ones there. Unfortunately we didn't bring our own this trip! Other than that trivial small thing, it was perfect for what we needed. Pictures don't do it justice. We wish it was better weather so we could have enjoyed the patio or grill.
This cabin has a great location for all activities in the Black Hills. Sitting next to the stream is very relaxing. The cabin is stocked with everything you need. Communication with the owners was also great.
We loved the cabin! The hot tub was the perfect addition, especially as the weather got cooler. The place was clean and well appointed with cooking supplies, shampoo, laundry soap, everything you need. Will stay again if we come back to South Dakota!
Great peaceful cabin on the creek in a perfect location for all area attractions. So enjoyed the wildlife that came through everyday. Thanks for sharing this amazing place with us!We can’t wait to get back!
The cabin was a grest choice or us. Everything was as advertised. Loved the sounds of thr creek, and the setting of the cabin. The only thing I would suggest is a hand rail for the bottom stairs
We enjoyed our stay here with the family. The location was peaceful and centrally located to the places we wanted to visit. The creek and wildlife was nice too! Would stay again. Thank you for the pleasant stay!
We very much enjoyed our time at the home. It is less than an hour away from pretty much every major Black Hills attraction and also close proximity to Rapid City. Despite the proximity to Rapid City, it is up in the hills in a very quiet area off a lightly traveled road. The scenery is excellent including the stream right outside the home and a rock wall/cliff behind the house. The house itself was very clean and had all the resources we needed. The hot tub is very private and in great shape. We were very happy with the property and would book in again in heartbeat if we are ever back in the area.
Nice two story property. We stayed 3 nights. Nice location to relax or visit nearby attractions. So much to do within 30-45 minutes. Owner answered a couple questions promptly. Would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay. It is off the beaten path a bit, but it is a beautiful setting. The place is spacious for a rental with 2 nice sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, and hot tub. About a 20 minute or so drive into town (Rapid City) for restaurants, groceries, etc.
We loved this house. Beds were comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking in the Badlands. We wished we could have stayed longer. There is a neighbor across the creek, which is not apparent in the picture. We thought it would be more secluded. The hot tub is in the back and fully surrounded by fencing which was nice. We would definitely recommend and return!
What a wonderful place to stay! Was easy to get to the trails we wanted to ride & still drive in to town for breakfast. Wonderful to wake up & enjoy your coffee by the creek & watch the wildlife. Would recommend to anyone!
We enjoyed our stay and especially the creek right off the patio. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed to cook. If we ever venture back to South Dakota, we will book again!
Overall, this house was well stocked with towels and the hot tub was great. We were thinking this would be a little more remote than it was, given a neighbor is right across the creek. The back of the house was a peaceful hillside though. We didn't realize there also wasn’t a dishwasher. While washing our own dishes was fine, the ones already put away weren’t all clean.
This was a wonderful cabin in a great location. Traffic on our road was minimal, and the stream beside the place was lovely. After being out and about all day every day, it was really nice to come back to the cabin, fix some dinner, and sit outside by the fire pit until well after dark. If we are ever back in the area, we won’t hesitate to stay there again!
This cabin was perfect for us. It was rainy and cold most of the time we were there but that did not stop us from getting in the hot tub and just listening to everything around us. The location could not have been better. We visited everything from Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse to Devils Tower and the Badlands and getting to all of those places was so easy from this cabin. Thanks again for sharing it with us.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this perfectly located cabin. It was clean and comfortable. Location was ideal for visiting all of the parks in the area. Neighbors were friendly. The hot tub was amazing after a day of hiking. Would definitely stay again!
Property is in a beautiful setting. Hot tub is great. Had what we needed in the kitchen and nice to have lots of towels for shower/hot tub.
The reason for four stars is that the house had a lot of strong, plug-in fragrance things that we unplugged, but then the downstairs room had a really strong musty/moldy smell. Not sure how to address this without tearing out drywall, but fixing this would make it 5-star.
