Natoli Apartments - Prince's House
THE DISTRICT
In the most elegant and baroque part of the upper Cassaro, inside the Norman Arab route declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, between the splendid Cathedral of Palermo and the beautiful Piazza Bologni, in the heart of the historic center, is Palazzo Natoli. built in 1765, commissioned by the Marquis Vincenzo Natoli.
This elegant building has been cataloged by the Superintendence as a Cultural Heritage of the city of Palermo.
Inside, in fact, through a spectacular double staircase staircase embellished with precious marble, you enter the main floor whose newly restored apartments, in some cases are embellished with frescoes by the painter Giocchino Martorana.
THE HOUSE:
La Casa del Principe overlooks the main floor of Palazzo Natoli, overlooking the Cassaro (today Corso Vittorio Emanuele).
It is a splendid space, made unique in its kind by the presence on the ceiling of the living room of an imposing fresco embellished with stuccoes created by the painter Giocchino Martorana.
The double-glazed windows will make your stay quiet and comfortable.
The apartment has been completely restored, like the rest of the building. The parquet dominates all the spaces.
The protagonist of the living room is a comfortable six-seater sofa with sceslong, an eighteenth-century dining table also revisited by a local artisan, an original seventeenth-century Sicilian sideboard and antique seventeenth-century friezes on wood, hand-painted.
The apartment is accessed by an entrance that divides the important living room from the kitchen area equipped with all the comforts and with a small peninsula to have breakfast. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with a shower.
A comfortable staircase leads to the upper floor, with a large double bedroom with a king-sized memory system and pillow-top cushions, and another bedroom with a queen-size bed with memory system mattress and cushions, and a comfortable bathroom. of shower and all the necessary comforts (essential, towels and hair dryer).
The fresco with stucco dominates not only the living room, but above all the master bedroom. All rooms have an open wardrobe or drawers to store the necessary items.
The apartment is equipped with LED TV 55 'inches, wifi, air conditioning and heating.
Upon your arrival at your disposal a welcome basket with everything you need for breakfast.

AROUND:
Palazzo Natoli is located next to the splendid Church of the Santissimo Salvatore, a small pearl among the churches of the city. A stone's throw from the Cathedral, Piazza Bologni, the Museum of Contemporary Art "Palazzo Riso", the Palazzo dei Normanni, Palazzo Reale, the Palatine Chapel and framed between Porta Nuova and Porta Felice, the ancient gates of access to the city.
Behind it the famous market of Ballarò, the oldest market in the city, which with its sellers, its colors, flavors and smells is the symbol par excellence of Sicilianity not only understood as culture, but as a way of being and feeling .
The beating heart of the city beats on the pavement in piatra of the sidewalks of the Cassaro, today Corso Vittorio Emanuele ... there you can find everything from the typical restaurant, to the enoteca chic, the bistro, the street food stalls, and not just stalls; not to mention the bookshops, the local craft shops, or those who have done so much research in the clothing market, fabrics and accessories to be invented of the new laboratories that know everything except the banal store.
Old and new shops coexist within this world, crazy mix between ancient and modern, between old and new traditions, between contradictions of a Sicily that tries to open itself to the world while remaining faithful to itself.
HOW TO MOVE:
Definitely on foot because being inside the Cassaro, in the heart of the historical center, everything is easily and quickly reachable on foot.
This is a ZTL zone (limited traffic zone).
