Deja View is a 1644 square foot beach front family gem that sleeps 6. It has panoramic views from every room and while it may have been built in 1980 the owners father was a mid-century guy who designed the house with mid-century flair mixed with 1970's Mediterranean style. We love its retro vibe and hope that those of you who love all things seventies will come enjoy this amazing home.
On the first floor you'll find a living room, kitchen & dining room which are one large room so no-one is going to miss anything while they're cooking, staring at the view, watching TV or playing a game. The wood stove sits dead center of the panoramic view so you can enjoy a toasty fire while storm watching in the winter. There is a dining room table for 6 and an additional table that you can do a jigsaw puzzle, play cards or enjoy your morning coffee. On this floor you'll also find a bathroom with shower, and a full size front load washer & dryer.
The Queen bedroom wall backs up to the living room and doesn't go all the way to the ceiling - as to allow the heat to move between rooms.
The second floor is 1 large game room, with more panoramic views, a pool table, wet bar, another bathroom. There is also a full size bed and 2 twins. This house will comfortably sleep 2 couples with plenty of room to spread out, or is great for 2 adults and up to 4 children. This is where you'll access the second floor deck. Once again the stairway is wide open with the floor to ceiling groovy textured glass to allow filtered light in. The front of the house has a great wind protected courtyard, and on the beach side of the house house is another great deck to sit and watch the waves, whales & bald eagles.
While Deja View is technically beach front it's down the street, around the corner down a hobbit trail thru the foliage and over a dune to get on the beach, we're guessing about ¼ mile hike for the young, fit and agile. Game Room Amenities: 40 inch TV in Living Room - 40 in the game room Roku streaming internet television - no local networks 300 mbps wi-fi Internet phone w/nationwide long distance only Verizon cell phones work at the house. The views are amazing. Wonderful location close to all the things we wanted to do from the sand dunes to the devils punchbowl. Great communication. We got to the location early and they were easy to work with to get into the cabin before check in.
The house was perfect, the host was gracious when we had to change some things about the booking at the last minute, and the stay was exactly the sort of home base we needed on our anniversary coast trip. Thank you!
Fun vintage 70s vibe, with a terrific view. Quiet peaceful neighborhood, a sweet trail to the beach near by.
Kitchen was sooo well equipped, more than expected.
We slept upstairs for the best views to wake up to.
We stayed for Thanksgiving and cooked here. The kitchen seriously has everything you need and then some. They have so many games and puzzles that we all enjoyed. The house is super cozy! Beds are all comfortable. The best part is the view. Beach is easy access with a trail one block up. This place was perfect for our family.
Nice home but about 1/4 mile from beach. Must drive there. Can see ocean but not beach. Plenty of room but some things need updating, like stove. Could not get regular TV on, only Roku.

Karen, there is no regular TV there is only Roku with Netflix - which has always been mentioned in the listing.
With some serious modifications we finally found a brand new range that fit it was installed in March of 2023.
We hope you'll come visit us again.

Although not right on the beach, there is a nice view of the ocean and sunset, and the walk down the street and over a hill gets you into the sand. Upstairs is all open air sleeping, fine for family and friends who don't need a private room. Downstairs is a queen bed which worked for us as a couple. There are plenty of things to do in and around Florence and our 5 days went by quickly. The house was completely adequate for our needs as a family.

This was a great rental for me, my partner and 2 dogs. The home itself is a step back in time, such a trip! We really enjoyed the pool table and views from the deck, a short walk to beautiful Heceta beach which is never overly crowded somehow. Everything we needed to make some nice meals with halibut we purchased at Luna Sea in Yachats. I would mention if traveling with friends there is only one private bedroom-the second sleeping area is beds on the same open floor as the pool table- we opted to sleep up here for the view! This arrangement was just perfect for us. Leslie was a great host, friendly, and very responsive, just be aware you will need to sign a separate rental agreement for this home. We would definitely return to this house in the future, highly recommend!
This was place a throwback to th 70's which I love. They are a few things that are not small children friendly. The staircase is very scary my 4-year old nephew fit through the slats. Thank goodness he was only visiting for a few hours. There is large wood burning fireplace with a rock hearth again not small children friendly. The carpet should be changed out not great for a rental.
This place is very much like visiting the family from Stranger Things, or maybe the set of Boogie Nights. I felt a bit like I should be wearing a polyester suite, with the shirt buttoned half way down, and a collar you could hang glide with. It's fun in a weird way.
The downstairs is a 1 bedroom 70s home. Lots of windows let you see the surf. The second floor was intended as a party space. I'm sure that many drinks with colorful umbrellas were served here. There is a wet bar ready to be stocked. The queen and 1 single beds up here are a concession to allow more than a single couple to spend the night. My suggestion to the owners would be to go with the vibe and put in one of those big round beds with silk sheets and a mirror ball above it. Maybe a hide-a-bed could replace the twins. That would be a place for the ultimate Tiki-Tiki room party. (That sort of thing may be what they are trying to discourage.)
I was a teen in the 70's. It was a lot of fun remembering the wood paneling just like my old basement. The swag lamp next to my bed. Deja View is a very cool place for the nostalgic among us.
Was perfect for myself and the grandkids who love play pool. Helped especially when the weather turned foul.Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were wonderful. Nice that it was on dead end street so no traffic.
Beautiful location with easy and close access to the beach. The home is very comfortable and cozy. One the most well stocked kitchens I have seen! Thank you.

Loved the view and the path to the beach. the house is very comfortable. would love to stay here again.
Comfortable and clean. We were especially happy to be able to take our dog, and the accommodations included dog towels. The walk to the beach includes some steep slopes, not easy for elderly folks. There’s easy beach access not far away to the north.
We absolutely loved staying here. Ocean views were spectacular. Took many hikes over dunes to beach. Wonderful, private place with many amenities. We will definitely return.
