We’d like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points mentioned in your review: Air Conditioning: As noted in the property description of Vrbo, air conditioning is provided in all bedrooms, which are the main areas intended for sleeping comfort. The unit in the dining/living room is not listed in the advertisement, as many villas in the region, including ours, are designed to take advantage of natural ventilation through large doors and windows. This approach is not only more sustainable but also aligns with local recommendations to avoid overuse of A/C during the day. That said, we understand the weather was particularly warm during your stay and apologize for any discomfort caused. Insects and Mosquitoes: In warm, humid climates near natural gardens and swimming pools, occasional insects are unfortunately common. We do provide repellent kits and guidance to all our guests to help minimize the inconvenience. Leaving doors open for extended periods can invite mosquitoes inside, and we always recommend keeping them closed when possible. Gardening and Lawn Maintenance: The gardener visits the villa weekly. In this case, it appears the guest prior to your arrival declined the gardening service, which caused a slight delay in the lawn being trimmed. We attempted to carry out maintenance during your stay, but unfortunately, access was denied. Please note that per the rental agreement, regular maintenance must be allowed to ensure the villa is kept in optimal condition for all guests. Umbrellas and Minor Issues: We regret the inconvenience with the umbrella on the upper terrace and that the maintenance visit planned for Monday did not take place as expected. We always strive to respond quickly, and we apologize for any miscommunication. Finally, we would like to highlight that during your check-in, no issues were raised to our staff, and during our follow-up two days later, no concerns were mentioned either. We always encourage our guests to report any issues during their stay, so we can address them promptly and ensure a pleasant experience. Despite these concerns, we hope you were able to enjoy the natural surroundings, the large private garden, and the exceptional pool — features that make Villa El Olivo truly unique in its price category. We had never received complaints about the pool before, but to avoid any future misunderstandings we will make sure to include the exact measurements in the description. Regarding the mid-stay cleaning that was not carried out, this was due to an unexpected issue. However, we refunded the amount paid for this service together with your security deposit.
