Situated directly on Prospect Bay, this sweet little oceanfront cottage has recently been renovated, and is waiting for you to write, swim, kayak, canoe or just relax. Conveniently located 25 minutes to downtown Halifax, 25 minutes to Peggy's Cove, 10 minutes to kayak tour and rental company, and 10 minutes from popular breathtaking hiking trail. Also centrally located to various other Nova Scotia attractions. Golf courses are nearby and do have clubs for rent. Open concept kitchen/living area. Downstairs bedroom has double bed, and spacious upstairs loft sleeps 3 (Queen bed and twin bed tucked on other side of for younger child). Fully equipped kitchen has new cooktop and oven, microwave and full size refrigerator. No cable TV but WIFI and DVD player with selection of movies. Clean and comfy - as well as everything you need for a restful holiday, writing or personal retreat, or a base camp for a sight-seeing holiday of Nova Scotia. Oceanside deck has table & chairs for morning coffee or dining as well as a fire pit with large seating area. Back deck has propane BBQ. Smoking outside only please.

Please check with us PRIOR to booking if you are travelling with a pet. Some limitations may apply. (A pet fee of $115.00 per pet / $50.00 each additional) will be added to your reservation; you must indicate that you are travelling with pets when you make your reservation).

Wonderful Cottage in Gorgeous Setting

A terrific cottage - fully provisioned - that’s set along a tranquil bay. Enjoyed reading and relaxing by the water and a peaceful week. Marcia was an excellent host - very communicative and responsive. Highly recommend.

Very welcoming and charming spot ! The dock looked brand new and was a great spot to sit and watch the tide roll in . Everything was clean and ready for us to just sit and relax .

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Prospect Bay! The cottage is beautifully appointed, conveniently located to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax and equipped with anything a guest may need. Beds were super comfy and oh that view! Morning coffee on the dock, listening to the sounds of the gulls and passing boats was pure bliss. Ended our busy days just the same, watching the tide come in with a glass of wine. You can be sure we’ll book this cottage again should we find ourselves returning to Prospect Bay. Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

Perfect location!

We had such a great stay! The cottage and location are ideal. Our kids explored the shore and found ocean treasures and us parents enjoyed the view and serenity. Not too far from the city and we got the quintessential East Coast experience. Host was a pleasure to deal with!

This cottage had everything we ever needed. And the view was gorgeous! A great location away from Halifax. But close enough that you could easily go to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Lunenburg.

Peaceful and quaint.

Beautiful area and very peaceful. driving distance to Halifax Harbor and Peggy's cove. About an hour to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Cottage very clean and quaint, fully equipped, right on the water. Marcia the host, very kind and friendly.

The location of this cottage is superb. It offers everything for relaxation, watching the water and sea birds. Private, peaceful and close proximity to explore Prospect village and area. Nothing more is required, its perfect. 🙂

Very cozy little cottage on the ocean and close to Halifax, Lunenburg and Peggy’s cove. Cottage has EVERYTHING you need and the views are great. If you like privacy, this is it. The Property Manager was very helpful as we had never been in area.

Meticulous property on quiet bay

We had a lovely stay, host was very responsive, and welcoming. She found out AirPods! And returned them. This property is beautifully maintained and close to all the sights of south shore Nova Scotia. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing House and View, Amazing Host

Where do we start ? With Marcia of course, what a wonderful host, we just wanted to wrap her up and bring her home and live next door to her forever. And John as well, funny, helpful when needed, just a nice guy. The house was great, fantastic view just out the back door on the 'terrace'. A sweet, quiet, comfortable little house, everything you need to relax and soak in the sane Canadian air. Well-located to explore the various highlights of Nova Scotia. Two small markets nearby, Halifax in less than 30 minutes. Oh, and Marcia. Did I mention Marcia ? Friendly, helpful, unobtrusive, a delight to talk with, a genuine good soul. From car batteries to surprise boat rides (Oh. My. God.) to rappie pie recipes (must get an old hen soon) to the High Head trail. Thanks for the books, Marcia, thanks for the view, thanks for a wonderful two weeks, and as Mr Rogers used to say, thanks for just being you. TLDR, we loved it all !

This cottage is amazing! Sitting feet from the water with everything you will need, this well kept and cozy cottage is perfect for those looking to stay or visit around. Within half an hour from downtown Halifax and Peggy’s Cove. The kitchen is well stocked and functioning. The host are very kind and helpful. We will be back when visiting Halifax!
