A pleasure to meet you and your parents. So happy that they got to experience the East Coast and I hope it was everything they wished for. Happy travels!
Was a perfect incredible vrbo experience. Location, Charm, views and relaxation that we would never be able to experience if not for people like you. Thank you from the Spargos.
Such a sweet cottage with absolutely every amenity available. Comfortable sleeping arrangements and a fabulous view (watching the lobster traps being pulled in was our entertainment one quiet morning). Great value and easy access to Halifax or Peggy’s Cove. Fabulous stay!
We enjoyed our stay in this little cottage on the bay. We prefer to stay a bit remote and this checks the box. It’s right on Prospect Bay, but also has nice tree coverage for good privacy. A few things from our stay that might be helpful when renting this cottage. There were fun amenities like a boombox with a nice selection of CDs and cassettes (a flashback for sure!) and a fire-pit (though we didn’t use it). We sat outside on the deck and the dock watching the wildlife including a mama American black duck with her 5 ducklings, a bald eagle, a gray seal, and osprey. The house was very clean. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly. The house is decorated with a cool collection of vintage furniture and lots of cottage-kitsch, which can make it hard to utilize the space to set your own belongings. A fun place to stay and would definitely book again when in the area.
Excellent experience and such a cool place to stay. The location is unbeatable (quick/easy trips to Peggy’s cove and Halifax- we took multiple!) and the cottage was beautiful/clean. Our only challenge was the limited water supply, which made it a bit stressful for four adults worried about overloading the septic while also expecting to be able to use the toilet and shower daily (we were there during a heat wave and AC only reaches main floor-see below). I’m sure we didn’t come close to running out, but the stress was there/did add unanticipated anxiety. Otherwise, the AC on the main floor is excellent but fairly useless in reaching the upper floor where 3/4 were trying to sleep. One moved to the couch and the other two prayed to the wind gods to bring us a breeze most nights (the ocean-front certainly helps but we hit a bad week). Overall would definitely recommend- just a heads up on the water/heat upstairs.

Thank you for your feedback! I’m sorry that our request to conserve water as much as possible caused you stress on your holiday. In these challenging times of climate change we are doing our best to conserve and limit water use as much as possible and hope that our guests will understand. We have never actually ran out of water but if the taps were continually ’free flowing’ I’m sure we would run into trouble.
Regarding the air conditioner downstairs, I’ve learned in my later years that cold air doesn’t rise…only hot air 🤦🏼♀️. We’ve placed two fans upstairs for this reason but I guess your week was unusually hot and they didn’t do the trick. Apologies for this but I’m happy to hear that you seemed to have enjoy your stay overall and we would welcome you back any time.
What a beautiful location for our Canadian vacation! Lovely cottage with wonderful amenities and our host was so easy to message with when we had questions. We will definitely be visiting again!

It was a pleasure to host you and hope to have you visit us again!
The cottage was exactly as listed. It had everything we needed, and more. The location was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the dock to watch the sunsets. Would definitely stay again.
This is a great location for exploring the south coast - 1/2 hour or so from Halifax and Peggy's Cove. It's right on the water, very calm, lots of birds. The accommodations are excellent, good space inside, well equipped and great deck areas. Excellent spot for a small family or two couples.
You couldn’t have a more quaint, beautiful and perfect cottage. Waking up to the beautiful bay, having a nice fire outside, and everything you need is there for your stay. This was our most favourite spot to stay at for our entire 2 week west coast vacation We will be booking again for next summerThank you so much
