Great Location, Clean, & Nice Hosts

I stayed in Jose and Teresa's Madeira 4 You apartment for a week in June/July of 2018. They knew that I didn't have a local phone so they waited for me outside when I drove from the airport so they could flag me down and show me where to park (yes, free protected parking is included in the rental). I advise to download an offline map and use GPS to get there just in case so you don't need to find wifi in case of getting lost. Then they showed me the apartment while giving me an explanation on what to see and do in Madeira. They were very welcoming. The apartment seems like it was redone fairly recently as everything was clean & new---from the kitchen, to the living room, to the washroom. I didn't use the main dining table since I was there alone, but they do have a nice table and living room for those who would like to use it. The bedroom and kitchen windows give a nice view of the mountains in case you want to check the weather before heading out for the day. I did this every morning. One of the other great things about this apartment is the location in Funchal. You can easily walk down to the most famous street for restaurants, cafes, and bars in less than 15 minutes (Rua de Santa Maria). There are some other restaurants within a 5-minute walk as well. Remember that Madeira is very hilly so you have to walk up some hills to get back but it's nothing challenging. There is a supermarket just a few blocks away as well so getting food to cook on days that I didn't want to go out was easy. All things considered, I would definitely recommend staying here at Madeira 4 You. If you want a clean, organized, and great location-based apartment in Funchal, Madeira then this place is for you.
