No running water when we arrived. Host wouldn’t respond so we had to call VRBO. Never had running water in the bathroom sink. Floors were dirty. Mouse droppings on the kitchen counter the next morning. I messaged the host and never heard back I deserve a refund
Overall the location is amazing away from everyone and surrounded by the woods. Quiet and cozy. House def needs alot of updates but overall pleased....
Very nice location, cozy cabin, but not well cleaned. Dog hair on the couch I slept on, which was hard with my allergies, pine needles and dirt in the upstairs bedsheets. Really turned this experience from an excellent to a mediocre one. Otherwise nice, reasonable pricing, great access to firewood for the pit, would only stay again if no better options.
This home is a masterpiece of interior design! Very unique, absolutely adorable, comfortable, and well equipped. Every single detail is thought through. Great location too. Don’t think twice - book it and you’ll love it!
Driveway is a hazard. Very very dangerous for rental cars. Beds are NOTwhat is listed. Floor slopes so beds are uneven. Not enough towels for our group.Mail box was full when called.
Alert! Warning! DO not reserve this place. We arrived, it was unclean. Rat fecal on the kitchen counter, kitchen floor, bed room floor, and on carpet. Hair in the shower. Pet hair on the bed and pillows. Floor was dirty. Wet mop left in the kitchen. We immediatly left and stayed in a hotel down the street. We contacted the owner. He did not respond. He couldn't be bothered by it. Contacted VRBO and sent them information and documentation of the uncleanliness. They still are allowing this person to take money from people to stay. Horrible service from Host and VRBO. I'm shocked they are doing this to customers! Pictures speak louder than words.
This was just what I was looking for when I shopped for a rental. Its private and charming if not a little rustic...well, a lot rustic. But I really enjoyed it.
Rustic, private retreat, a little hard to find but that's what I liked about it.

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of room for a family of 5. Love the property and might book again. Regarding issues; the sliding glass door handle is jenky and broken, there is no working light in the very steep staircase, the oven still wasn't working, bathroom door is difficult to open and close and definitely too narrow to allow wheel chair access. Also, we were afraid to even try the pellet stove as the lid to the hopper was of and pellets were everywhere. Having said all that, while it is not modern and definitely shows its age, I would book again

We stayed at the property twice and enjoyed it so much the first time we booked it for another trip three weeks later. The problem was the second visit - not clean, no supplies and the TV didn't work. What a difference! We ran into the cleaners who were just finishing up as we arrived but are pretty sure they didn't do anything except spray disinfectant around. The worst was the sheets had leaves in them, obviously not changed from the last occupant. There was dog hair all over the couch. Less than half a roll of toilet paper and no paper towels on the roll. The TV did not work and there were smashed cherries all over the back deck. All pillows are decorative but not usable to sleep on so we brought our own the second visit. Also no hand towels or washclothes. It is too bad as this location is beautiful and private. We did enjoy an amazing breakfast at the Little Brown Hen in town - highly recommended!!!!!
Loved this property! Tucked back in the woods was the perfect setting. Lots of room and very clean. By far one of our favorites!

The property was beautiful! A few minor interior things, dead light bulbs etc. Beds were fine, we just wished for a few extra blankets. The travel sized toiletries were a nice touch!A few things we wished we had prior knowledge of:1. Upon entering the road, it looks like a private driveway with a sign stating you are entering private property. Keep going you are at the right place.2. You really need a 4 wheel drive to get up. We had a minivan and almost didn't make it. We were grateful that it wasn't raining.3. It is rutted, with a really deep one on the side.
