GÎTE au GARDIN 'Les Phormiums', Sea, Nature, Historic Landing Sites

Norman house with neat decoration, the JARDIN DU MARAIS "Les phormiums" is located between Ste Mère Eglise and Utah Beach, 5 km from the landing beaches. Ideally located a few minutes from the sea in the heart of the Marshes Natural Park, it allows you to spend a couple's vacation with a young child (additional sleeping). The cottage is in the heart of a natural setting known for its beautiful 100% organic gardens. It is an independent charming house, with sloping ceilings, fully restored and well equipped in the middle of an enclosed garden. The cottage is open all year round for holidays by the sea and enjoy a "historic discovery" stay from the Normandy landings or even an "environmental and natural stay" at the marshland park and along the Cotentin paths . The hens at the bottom of the garden give a rustic charm to this old residence of great comfort. Beautiful hiking trails allow you to take walks or bike rides on the beaches and dunes or even along the coast by the customs trail. Numerous activities are available to holidaymakers, golf, sand yachting, horse riding, fishing, and it is also a starting point for tourist hotspots such as Mont Saint Michel or the Channel Islands. A place of history and memory, the gîte is located in the immediate vicinity of the landing sites and Sainte Mère Eglise, the first liberated city in France. Bicycles are available for going to the sea or to museums.

Rural, peaceful retreat

Beautiful little gite, perfect for a couple. Very peaceful, everything that you need has been provided. The hosts are lovely but are not intrusive. In a wonderful part of France, so much to do. Can't wait to return.

Vielfältiger sehr schöner Erholungsurlaub

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen erholsamen dreiwöchigen Augusturlaub im Gite Les Phormiums. Das Haus war sehr sauber(!), praktisch und gemütlich eingerichtet, alles Notwendige war vorhanden. Zur netten Begrüßung gab es eine Auswahl örtlicher Leckereien und eine ausgezeichnete Marmelade von Odile. Leider war das Wetter nicht wirklich hochsommerlich, zuerst viel Regen und 2 Stürme. Dann wurde es deutlich besser. Aus dem umfangreichen Infomaterial im Haus konnten wir uns viele interessante Ausflugsziele heraussuchen. Besonders haben wir die vielfältigen Gärten genossen, und auch den wunderschönen Garten vor Ort, in dem es immer wieder neue interessante Pflanzen zu entdecken gab. Auch die Nähe zur Bademöglichkeit am Utah Beach war optimal. Der Kontakt zu Odile und Paul war super und wir sind ihnen sehr dankbar für die medizinische Unterstützung. Urlaubsgefühl sofort ab der Ankunft.

Wir haben eine Woche im wundervollen 'Les Phormiums' - Haus verbringen dürfen. Vom herzlichen Empfang, über tolle Tipps für Unternehmungen bis hin zu einem absolut gemütlichen kleinen Haus inmitten eines wirklich tollen Gartens war es für uns die perfekte Erholung. Alles wie im Inserat beschrieben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Uitstekend naar ons zin gehad in deze comfortabele, centraal gelegen woning in een rustig gebied. De prachtige grote tuin, waarin de gite zich bevindt, was een kers op de taart. Een goede prijs kwaliteitsverhouding voor deze woning. Vriendelijke, behulpzame, enthousiaste eigenaars.

Leuk huis met grote tuin

Midden in de natuur en landweggetjes ligt deze leuke gite. Het was leuk ingericht en alleen boven wel wat las van de schuine daken maar dit is even wennen. Zeer aardige en lieve mensen en bij aankomst wat leuke dingen aangeboden gekregen en eitjes rapen bij de kippen.

Parfait pour un couple

Ce beau gite est très bien situé pour visiter la côte du débarquement et les marais du Cotentin. Tout ce que nous voulions voir et toutes nos randonnées étaient à 30 min max en voiture. Pour les courses, l'accès à Carentan est facile. La cuisine et la salle de douche sont très beaux et on dort très bien dans la chambre. Nous avons loué en hiver, et n'avons pas pu visiter le grand jardin aux plantes exotiques qui donne son nom au gite. Ce sera notre seul regret.

Nous sommes heureux que le Cotentin puisse être apprécié durant l'hiver qui réserve de belles surprises quand à la lumière, ses fameux marais blancs et ses passages d'oiseaux migrateurs. Il faut un oeil de photographe pour les retenir ! Quand au jardin dans sa dormance hivernale, il se prépare pour le printemps à grand renfort de bèche et sarcloir ! Bonnes fêtes de fin d'année !

Fijn vakantiehuisje!

De ontvangst door Paul was heel vriendelijk. We kregen als welkomstkadootje een mandje met producten uit de streek. De woning is niet groot, maar voor 2 personen ruim genoeg. Het huis is heel schoon, gezellig ingericht en er is een nette keuken waar het aan niets ontbreekt. De ligging van het huis is heel mooi, helemaal vrij, in het groen van de prachtige tuin. We hebben in de omgeving diverse uitstapjes gemaakt en genoten! Een aanrader!

Un séjour en tous points parfaits : propriétaires extrêmement gentils, disponibles, avec plein de bons conseils pour les coins à découvrir et les randonnées (il y a des guides et cartes à disposition), gîte cosy et très bien équipé, jardin ****. Panier d'accueil et œufs des poules à volonté ;) La région est très belle. Je reviens donc la voir au printemps!

Ruhig und idyllisch

Wunderschön gelegene Gite mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Mit dem Auto oder auch dem Fahrrad ist die Umgebung gut zu erkunden.
