We really loved staying here for a quieter weekend away! The home is charming and spacious. Only complaint was the number of brown recluses and cave crickets inside, but I know that’s hard to control living deep in the woods.

Clean, very private, spacious but close to town for groceries, etc and a short drive to Chattanooga. Really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Very reasonable price. Outdoor grill was pretty old, dirty and couldn’t find a grill brush. Would b nice to have a gas grill. Owner provided a straight forward heads up for the possibility of a few insect guests that might show up!Overall a great place and would def return.

Hidden in the woods, everything we needed was there. This cabin is prone to local insects visiting, not unexpected considering the location. Keep the doors closed. Watch out for the spiders, they do spider things outside! They are amazing to watch. Lovely and special place!

Musty smell...lots of bug and large spiders... Dusty.. counters tops gritty dishes and pots and pans in cabinets were extremely dirty and not cleaned well..refrigerator held together with tape and made tremendous noises all through the night.. must run a dehumidifier that is noisy or it would smell like your grandmother's basement ... beds felt like something out of a college dorm.. no trash service on site must haul your own trash to the county landfill..

This property was perfect for a peaceful, disconnected get away. I loved the property and surrounding area. There was plenty of things to go do close by. I would definitely rent this place again.

This a very secluded property with close proximity to hiking. I would advise a truck or higher profile vehicle as drive way is very rocky. Large boulder type rock, if I had driven my car it would have bottomed out several times.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to anyone. A group of friends and I came to stay for a girls trip one weekend and the house was not half as clean as it appeared on the booking photos. Additionally, we were in the home for 20 minutes and saw four huge bugs (bigger than the size of a half dollar). When I contacted the host, she said that she had had an exterminator come in and she was unsure how bugs got onto the property. Additionally, she tried to communicate with me through the Vrbo app, but because the Internet sucks in that cabin so bad I didn’t get to see the text from her until much later. I contacted Vrbo and they stated that they were aware of the proof of the bugs that I sent to them and stated that they would contact the host. We were there for less than 20 minutes and she only gave me back half of the money I paid. When I asked her why she said that I did not communicate with her about if we were staying or not when I told her on the phone we were not staying there because of the bug bugs. Additionally, it’s not my fault that the Wi-Fi in that cabin sucks so bad that I couldn’t even text her back. I had to completely reboot the Vrbo app to see the text that she she had sent me. She has been very passive aggressive and I think it’s ridiculous that I didn’t get all my money back. Would not recommend this to anyone.

The cabin was what you expect it to be but if you are afraid/allergic to insects then beware. It is deep in the woods so hard to avoid it but be prepared. We did have to leave after one night just too many spiders.

Everything was as listed. Although we couldn’t find the swimming hole, I did not ask. We had a lot of excursions we went on with the kids and honestly the water would’ve been too cold for April anyway. The house is secluded but not too far away from civilization. The house is beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our spring break. Nice break for the fast life.

You will need to hike to the back of the property onto the Otting Track WMA to access the Little River. There are map in the info booklet or at the trail entrance.

A charming, secluded retreat that worked well for our family visit. It was a short stay for us and we would have liked more time to hike and explore. Dog loved it! Saw lots of deer, right outside the house.

Great host! Great cottage.. they have WiFi now so the comments about not having service is no longer an issue. The property is gorgeous and a short drive into Chattanooga if you want to see the city. Would stay here again when I come back.
