About this property

A Beautiful Grade II Listed Country Home set within its own grounds. Sleeps 12

Russia Hall is a stunning Grade II Listed Country Home set down a sweeping drive with extensive lawned gardens. Climbing roses, wisteria, oak beams and roaring fires, steeped in History, The Hall is a quintessentially English home in the Cheshire countryside. Parts of the house date back to the 1620's, a former Dairy Farm set within its own grounds, in a semi-rural setting within walking distance of Tattenhall village and just 8 miles from Chester City Centre.

There are plenty of good country pubs & walks nearby as well as the shopping, history & the nightlife of Chester.

Bolesworth Estate, Cholmondeley Castle & the market town of Tarporley are close by. The famous Ice-cream farm and Chester Zoo providing family entertainment.

The house is full of character, the decoration is soft with exposed oak beams and wood burning stoves and is full of natural light.

There is a dining room with a wood burning stove and a table to seat 12, the spacious lounge has a wonderful Chesney wood burning stove, 3 sofas, with French windows looking out onto the South facing terrace.

The well equiped farmhouse kitchen is the hub of the house with its AGA cooker and another dining table to seat 12, off the kitchen is a snug with 3 comfy sofas, Smart TV, Netflix and wood burning stove, with French windows that lead out to an outside dining area and orchard. There’s a quiet study room with a desk space. Then the utility & boot room, perfect for your dog.

On the first floor there is a spacious bedroom with King-size four poster bed, ensuite bathroom with roll top bath, across the landing is a generous King-size double room with a separate family bathroom with large shower and roll top bath, almost in a separate wing of the house there are two further spacious King-size double rooms and a twin room with an ensuite shower room.

On the second floor is a very spacious Super-king double room with ensuite shower.
The lawned gardens are extensive, with an orchard, croquet lawn, box garden and a walled garden. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas, a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub (heated for your arrival*), a stunning covered area over the BBQ and a relaxing zone to die for.

There is plenty of parking and a field to land a helicopter.

We can recommend Private Chefs with table service and tidy up or Caterers to be arranged for your stay.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love and purchased The Hall over 25 years ago and have lovingly restored and enhanced it ever since , maintaining original features and creating a home which is perfect for entertaining and relaxing in.
We love attention to detail and have carefully selected Artworks and furniture throughout the years that blend into the our quintessentially English Country home.
Our love of the outdoors has meant we've created a garden which can be enjoyed through all seasons.
