Compact, well equipped cottage in a good position in a village.
It suited 2 people well, but I would not consider it for any more than that. We did not make of a lot of the facilities available in the cottage, but what we used was fine.
Dram cottage has a wonderful view out to sea that I could sit and look at all day!
The accommodation was immaculate and had everything we needed.
It’s super quiet too and just right for switching off from the daily stresses.
I knocked a star off for location and neighbourhood as most things need a car to get to - not a problem for us though.
With a beach on your doorstep it will hopefully tick a lot of boxes for you.
We love Sandend, we holiday here regularly. I’m happy to say we’ve now found our ‘go to’ cottage. Very clean, comfortable and perfect for us two (and our wee dog). Thank you x
We booked this very last minute having been let down by a motorhome company. We could not have had better accommodation. Perfect size for 2 and our dogs with everything we could possibly need ( apart from a clothes aired to hang thing on but the shared washing lines on the harbour did the trick!). Sandend is great for all ages and we enjoyed the coastal path walks mainly. Best place to eat was the Old Kirk at Fordyce…. I would recommend booking in advance wherever you want to it including the excellent Fish and Chip Shop in Portknockie. We will be back.
Property is very well appointed and presented. Would describe it as compact and bijou. The cottage is near the end of the lovely village of Sandend opposite the harbour. There is an area at the gable end of the cottage for parking. The village itself is central to lots of others of note in the area,e,g Portsoy, Cullen and Banff. The cottage is dog friendly, hardwood floors, room for dog basket and a big enough hall in which to dry a wet dog, lovely beach just a few minutes walk away. Comfortable for two adults and a biggish dog, at a push possibly small children ( 2 maximum) also. The wood burner made the cottage feel very cosy, which was a boon as we chose a very windy, snowy, exceptionally wet week to stay. However we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Dram cottage.
The cottage was very clean , in a great location at the old harbour, view from the side window excellent, all in all a great cottage well worth a visit.
This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The location and the facilities were 1st class. Very modern kitchen and shower room but still has that old cottage feel. Great base for exploring all the small fishing villages in the area and lots of choices for either dining out or take away. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to chill out.
