Beautiful Greensboro VT Home

This home is one of my all-time favorite VRBO stays. The home is conveniently located seven minutes from Caspian Lake, a half-hour from Lake Willoughby and fifty minutes from Stowe. The home itself has all the expected amenities of the so-called “premier host” rentals owned by the big corporations but a personal touch that makes you feel truly at home. Whether you’re a leaf-peeper or visiting during summer or winter, this home h will make your stay more enjoyable.

Molly W., Shelburne

bright, comfortable home, with sweeping yard, in the perfect Greensboro VT location

Greensboro is a quintessential rural Vermont town, surrounded by rolling green mountains and fields, beautiful old farmhouses, and this house is right in the center of it! It is a 5 minute walk to the "center of town" which consists of a 100 year old general store, a library, a gorgeous art gallery, and an ice cream shop. Also in walking distance is the small but very pleasant town beach at Caspian Lake. Nearby, Circus Smirkus has its home and the brand new, stunning, Highland Arts Center brings in entertainment. But the home itself, is cheerful, bright, comfortable...and the yards! sprawling, beautiful, and well kept. If you get lucky in having nice weather - you will want to just be outside on the deck during your whole visit. also to note...the property owners may be the nicest people you'll ever run into to! There isn't exactly a dining room table, or dining area, so for some folks that thats important to, you might want to check in with the owners first. But for us, a family of four, we could use a side table on the porch, or eat outside when it was nice - this in no way distracted from our trip, experience, or in our final review for this beautiful property. If you want to get a true taste of Vermont countryside, this is a wonderful property...with wonderful people!

Great house

The house was great. The sun room with all the windows was very inviting. Good kitchen. Actually well stocked. Loved the arrival of the cows in the evening. Took advantage of the outdoor shower. Only drawback was the road and hearing the traffic. Didn't want to walk to the willys store.

A fantastic house close to a charming Northeast Kingdom village

This is a lovely little house within easy walking distance of the village of Greensboro, and within a short drive of much of the sights of the Northeast Kingdom. The well-equipped house has a beautiful lawn to play on and a great all-purpose family room. You'll occasionally get a visit from the cows in the neighboring pasture. Greensboro has a lovely library, a small beach on Caspian Lake, an ice cream shop, an amazing arts center that shows movies, a church with a classical music series, and one of the best general stores in Vermont. What else do you need?

From my earliest childhood I spent all my summers in Greensboro at our lakehouse on Black's Point. As part of his wedding vows my husband promised he would spend all of our summers with me in Greensboro. We soon discovered that 2 weeks was not enough and so bought this little house so we could stay through the Fall colors and for Winter vacations. And then our children's demands for more time here resulted in adding a second floor to house them and their growing children. We've now decided to trim our use of the house to one month in the summer because we want to travel. And so, our partnership with VRBO

Why they chose this property

We chose this house because it is a very short walk from the center of town with its classical New England town square, Willey's general store, The Millers Thumb and the public beach.
