About this property

Beautiful Lakefront Cottage with Single Level Access

Welcome to our little slice of paradise. Our Caspian Lake compound consists of three bedrooms and three baths, spread between two structures. The main camp is single level with 2 bedrooms - one with king and the other with two twins - along with two baths, a study, dining room, living room and kitchen. The brand new separate guest building features a queen bedroom along with a third full bathroom. Our maximum group size is 6 people.

Soak up the sun on the south-facing deck, splash in the lake from your private dock, or hike from your door to Barr Hill. Enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and grilling. There is a private clay tennis court (shared with 5 neighboring properties).

This home is also a perfect spot for enjoying the brilliant colors of late summer/early fall. The fireplace & portable heaters will keep you cozy at night, and the leaves on the nearby rolling hills will wow you. We are open until mid-October every year, and then closed for the winter season until the following May.

This cottage has been in our family for 5 generations and is a wonderful place to relax and spend quality time with loved ones.

Below are a few notes about our availability, pricing and rental philosophy.
- During the summer months, our property is available only for week-long rentals, from Saturday to Saturday.
- During the shoulders (May 15-June 15 and September 30-October 15), we generally offer 4-day rentals from Friday afternoon through Tuesday morning, subject to the availability of our cleaning crew.
- The base price quoted on our listing includes use of the main camp for up to 4 people. We charge the following additional fees:
- $50/person/night, for parties greater than 4, up to a maximum of 6, including children.
- $50/night, for parties less than or equal to 4 guests, who want to use the third bedroom and bathroom, located in a separate guest building.
- If you are interested in booking the camp, please tell us a little about your group and your hopes for the trip when you inquire. We will be very happy to answer any questions you have as well. We always want to make sure our renters are a good match & that your stay will be as wonderful as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!

We look forward to our stay here all year long! The house is a perfect home base for family adventures around the Northeast Kingdom as well as resting in the house at night with a fire and a book OR enjoying time on the lake like swimming, fishing, kayaking, or listening to the loons. The house is exactly as described and is perfect for a week away with the family. The beds are comfortable, the house is clean, the living space is cozy, and the deck / kitchen configuration is perfect for cooking at home and eating meals on the deck while enjoying the view. This rental is a hidden gem!

Great place to stay on serine Caspian Lake. Black's Point is great for the kids. Cottage was very clean, plentiful water craft (kayaks, canoes, swimming pads, etc...). Owners very responsive. Highly recommend.

Beautiful family cabin on Caspian Lake

The cabin is super clean, with a well stocked kitchen for cooking and very comfortable furnishings and bed. It is steps from the lake with a great dock and surrounded by beautiful flower and veggie gardens. It would be an excellent place to spend a summer week, swimming and relaxing on the property. The peace and quiet along with watching the loons and other creatures on the lake makes this a very special place.

We keep coming back!

This feels like a hidden gem of a rental! The location is perfect with access to fun activities OR the ability to stay low key and off the grid; the house is comfortable and accommodating; and the hosts are responsive and kind. The rental has it's own dock and access to Lake Caspian which was super nice during the heat wave. This place deserves all the stars and more - our family really enjoys coming back here each year!

Beautiful Vermont Lake Stay

It's gorgeous and has everything you need for a little family getaway. We celebrated our baby's first birthday and my husband's 40th birthday and could not have been happier. We took our baby on her first canoe ride, ate our dinners out on the deck, and enjoyed the beautiful landscaping in front and back of the property. I have no complaints, and I'll be back again. The hosts were very communicative and kind.

This was a wonderful rental located next to Caspian Lake. The cabin was cozy and inviting, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kitchen was well supplied, washer and dryer are new, lots of space to spread out, and a fantastic view of the lake. The landscaping was beautiful even in early autumn. At dusk one evening, we discovered fuzzy bees snuggling in for the night on the purple asters. The water is crystal clear and would be ideal for swimming in the summer. The area is very quiet; we were able to hear the loons quite often throughout our stay.The property manager Kyle was a delight with his stories about the area and recommendations for restaurants and day trips. We can highly recommend Positive Pie for pizza and The Village Restaurant in Hardwick. If you're a maple fan, you must try the Village R's maple pie!Although we did not meet the owners in person, they were very responsive and welcoming in our emails. We plan to return!

Pure Caspian Lake Vibes!

We come for the lake! Easy access to Caspian. Kayaks and a canoe available meant we spent every afternoon on the water. We swam and floated in our own inner tubes and even made the trip around Black's Point to Bathtub Rocks. Really excellent lake weather and frequent glassy conditions. And the Loons? Marvelous! Accommodations were very comfortable and we spent the evenings in from of the fire reading, puzzling and laughing. Awesome fireplace! We are rested and plan a return in 2027 and hope to stay here again. Many thanks!

A beautiful, relaxing stay on Caspian Lake

The house on Caspian Lake was the perfect spot for our early summer family vacation with our three-year-old. The house was clean and cozy, the location was perfectly situated to access everything the region has to offer, and the property itself was beautiful. (Side note—we also marveled at how comfortable the king-size bed in the main house was. Seriously, I haven't slept that well in years). It's a perfect spot for relaxing on the sunny back deck or dock with a book or a beer, taking a kayak out for a spin, or exploring picturesque nearby hiking trails. Communication with the owners was smooth and easy, and Kyle, the local property manager, was such a great local host. He was welcoming, quick to respond to any inquiries, and helpful with background and questions on the area. We'll definitely be back again!

I can't speak highly enough of this rental property. It's the second time me and my family rented the house and we love it. The location is great with easy access to downtown Greensboro and surrounding towns. The actual house is clean, comfortable and spacious with beautiful views of the lake. The backyard is a kid's dream with enough space between the house and the lake for children to safely play in the grass. Plus the dock itself is such a wonderful place to spend time especially with the added amenities of the rental's canoe, kayaks, and fishing nets. We spent a lot of time by the water swimming and paddling! The owners of the property and point of contact on-site are all super nice and easy to reach should any questions arise. We adore everything about this rental property and can't wait to come back next year!

Just perfect for us

This is an older "camp" (1940s) with tons of charm. The charm has been maintained with tons respectful updating. The kitchen is well-stocked and has a dishwasher. All new windows to let the sun and light in. The new addition makes this a true 3 bedroom with three full baths and adds a new washer and dryer. The whole house is tastefully decorated. The location is fantastic. The large deck is just a few steps from the lake. The gardens around the house are lovely. The setting of the house on Blacks Point means that you are far enough from everything to feel you are away from it all but you are actually very close to all that Greensboro and surrounding towns have to offer.
