Stayed for a short break with our young daughter and dog. Lovely property in a great location. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and we were within easy reach of the beach and many local attractions.
Pyg Pen suited our needs well. The open plan area created a sociable space. There is a nice garden with patio at the end for. evening sun.We had a lovely time.
Totally enjoyed our stay , have stayed numerous times before and know the area very well and will be returning

Lovely cottage, well equipped and comfortable
Had a lovely stay here over New Year, enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub and relaxing pub lunches in some of our favourite Northumberland locations. Very well appointed cottage in a great location for exploring, we'll be back!
Wonderful house and garden- perfect base for a week with our pup. Very clean, comfortable and cosy. Attractive, peaceful village. Had everything we needed. Amazing choice of beaches along the Northumberland coast within 20mins.
Great property with lots of character, the house was equipped with everything you’d need for a holiday.
Garden was lovely and perfectly safe for the pooches and we were lucky enogh to bbq and really enjoyed the outdoor space.
Our second visit to the cottage which again gave us the ideal location and base to relax and visit the beaches and historic sites of the Northumberland coast.
We stayed at Pyg Pen cottage to attend our Goddaughter’s wedding at Newton Hall. Originally from the area we knew the location would be perfect. The cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It is so well equipped with everything you could ever need. We absolutely loved it.
Many thanks to the owner for our second very happy stay here. My disabled elderly Mum in particular was delighted with the house’s amenities and comfort.
We are return visitors and enjoyed another fabulous break. The property itself is so welcoming, we felt at home straight away The welcome pack /gifts are also a lovely touch. We visited several beaches , only a short drive away. Highly recommend & I'm sure we will visit again soon.
We all enjoyed our stay in this exceptionally well equipped cottage. We went for my 70th birthday celebration with our family and 2 dogs and we were all very comfortable. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very spacious. We enjoyed all the local beaches, and a boat trip to the Farne islands. We also had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Rocking horse cafe and a delicious meal overlooking the sea at the Jolly fisherman in Craster.
We had a four night stay at Pyg Pen cottage and despite the weather had a restful stay in it’s beautiful surroundings. The cottage is very well equipped, warm and tastefully decorated. We will be back!
