This is a great house for friends or family. Beautifully presented with very comfortable beds, sofas and chairs. The location is excellent for walking the coastal path, and Craster was quiet and welcoming, with good food at the Holly Fisherman. Even blue skies and sunshine! Thanks to our hosts for a great stay.

Thank you for your kind review Michael. We’re very happy your family enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you another time - perhaps you’ll see orcas next time!
Kind regards.

Excellent accommodation for our group of 8 with various needs. Very close to the quaint harbour and coastal walks. Spotless interior with all you need. Only suggestion for improvement would be to have larger cooking pots to cater for large groups, and somewhere to hang 6 towels for the main bathroom.

Thank you for your review, we’re very pleased you enjoyed the house and had a great time on the beach and in the village!
Stayed with son, daughter in law and grandson aged 1. House was excellent, good quality kitchenware, beds very comfy. Garden a sun trap and ideal for dogs as enclosed. Craster lovely, nice walks & pub in village. Area beautiful , lots to do castles, gardens & beaches. Running Fox Cafe good for breakfast & lunch. Hope to return
We stayed here as a family to celebrate my nephew’s 18th birthday and had a fantastic time. The property was clean, spacious, and very well equipped — perfect for a family getaway. The garden was a real suntrap and a lovely place to relax. The thoughtful welcome pack from the owners was a special surprise. It’s an ideal base for exploring Northumberland’s stunning coastal path, castles, beaches, gardens, and the stunning Farne Islands. We also loved sampling delicious treats from the local smokehouse. We would highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Anne Livesey
Crasterway is owned by a mother and daughter, Anne and Amy. We've owned the house since it was built in 2020, and we stay there too with our family. The granddaughters love Craster, and all that Alnwick has to offer and we always sleep so well with all that sea air and very comfortable beds. We wanted the house to be ultra comfy for our guests and it's a real home from home with all the equipment you could wish for!
Why they chose this property
We live about an hour away and it took eight years of searching to finally find our home in Craster. It's a beautiful village, and it had to have a great pub, doorstep walks for our dogs plus plenty of golf and things to do and see - Craster offers it all.
What makes this property unique
Crasterway was built in 2020 so it had all modern amenities, is warm and cosy in the winter and in summer throw open the bifold doors straight into the garden which is a real suntrap for BBQs and the paddling pool !
