About the host
Hosted by Pat Spice

I came back to Belfast to look after my mother and when she died I decided to renovate the house and in 2011 I opened it as a holiday home. I feel that as I worked in hospitality for the American Forces that I was well versed in giving good service.
Why they chose this property
The house was first rented in 1937 and I was born and raised in the area I had an idyllic childhood (free as a bird) My father came looking for me and found me riding a pony bareback through the meadows. This poor animal was grazing as did an entire heard of cows because it was common land I was about 9 years and pretending to be in the wild west. My father was not a well man as I was an only child. I also rode my bicycle into the river Lagan. Those were halcyon days no mobile phones.
What makes this property unique
The house is in a great area of the city, quiet and secure ,enabling guests to unwind and relax. There is a mature secluded garden and it is close to all the amenities The best of both worlds
