Recently renovated, North Balkello Cottage is a 4 bedroom house (sleeps 8), in an extremely peaceful location.

Ideal for relaxation, families, couples and those who love the outdoors, walking etc. 2 living rooms, large well appointed kitchen/dining/living area with double oven, hob, dishwasher.

There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. 1 x Shower/Bathroom + 1 x En-suite Shower/Bathroom + 1 x Shower room. 4 televisions are in the house, 1 with digital freebies television and a Sony PlayStation 3 with a small selection of games. There is also free wifi with speeds of approximately 40 Mbps.

A high chair, stair guard, travel cot and bed guard are available.

Outdoor jacuzzi for 6. 2 decks both with outdoor furniture. Large lawned garden. Parking for several cars.

Fabulous holiday home!

Felt like a home away from home. Plenty of cooking wear and loved the hot tub!! Close enough to town but also so quiet and peaceful! Easy to find and loved being across the street from a park with walking paths!

Lovely Easter Break

The house was spacious, clean with all mod cons. A very comfortable place to stay in beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely week making good use of the house and the hot tub. Eddie was very accommodating.

Wonderful stay in Scotland!

We had an amazing time staying at this cottage. It was very clean, updated kitchen that had everything you would need. Beds were very comfortable, my daughters are still talking about them! Host was great to communicate with. Hope to visit again someday!

Scottish Retreat

The property was exactly as shown in the photos. Semi-Secluded which we wanted, and the directions to the property were fantastic. Well equipped with very comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was great, and the house provided enough space for everyone to find time to themselves if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic property!

A very spacious house with everything that you'd need for your stay! Very modern and clean. The hot tub is amazing! The location is a little remote, but not far from Dundee at all. Communication with Edwin was superb. Would definitely recommend this property.

Stayed with my 2 young boys and friends with young boys. Perfect house nice and spacious with a big garden off the road for the kids to run about. Very close for day trips in Dundee.

Lovely property

We recently spent 5 nights at the house, there was 8 of us, 5 adults, 3 children and 3 generations! The house worked really well for us. There was plenty of space both inside and out. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Eddie, the owner, was very good at communicating. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Terrific House.

Great family get together in this very spacious very clean modern house. We all loved the Hot Tub, the games on the TV, out for walks and watching the red squirrels in the garden. The house is in a peaceful location but only 15 mins from Camperdown Park and Dundee Ice Arena. We had a marvellous stay and have already told friends about this holiday home. I’m sure we will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and comfortable and suited our needs well. Eddie was very helpful and responded quickly when we needed anything. The only reason we gave 4 stars for accuracy of listing was that there was not BBQ grill. Eddie said he would remove that from the listing. If you plan a longer stay, make sure to bring some extra toilet paper and paper towels. The hot tub was a bonus we really enjoyed!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was as shown in the photos. It was well equipped with everything we needed and more. Great condition. Immaculately clean. We enjoyed having the two lounges to spread out in with family. The hot tub was such an added bonus. The communications with the landlord were very easy and efficient. The woodlands park across the street was another bonus for exploring and just hiking. Highly recommend. So comfortable.

Christmas 2023 !!!

It’s a risky thing to do when you decide to book somewhere for your entire family to spend Christmas so we chose carefully and I can honestly say that we made the right choice with Eddies place… Even though the weather wasn’t great, it mattered not because the house was so amazing…we loved every minute of being there and Eddie couldn’t have been more helpful… You will not be disappointed with this property… Top marks for everything!! Large roomy comfortable cottage just north of Dundee, Scotland. Owner was extremely easy to work with. I rented the property to play in the Senior Open Qualifier at Blairgowrie Rosemount Course. Many nearby golf courses to play.

I grew up in Dundee and went to Uni at Dundee University studying Civil Engineering. I am now self employed, working in the Oil Industry in Aberdeen as a Subsea Engineer.

Why they chose this property

This property was built by my Dad in the early 2000's and has now been fully renovated, completed in 2018. Personally I love everything about this house! The location is extremely peaceful with fantastic views, and amazing walks literally from the bottom of our driveway, but we are also just a 20 minute drive from Dundee city centre. The house was recently renovated and offers the highest comfort levels, tastefully decorated, powerful showers, 2 large decks both south facing, catching the sun (subject to availability!) all day, 1 complete with 6 person Jacuzzi!
