Flexible accommodation, substantial communal areas and cosy rooms this property is the perfect base to explore beautiful Ireland.

Tastefully decorated and furnished, and fully equipped. Heron’s Lodge offers a comfortable and relaxing stay. Each double bedroom offers a king bed with comfy mattresses, fresh pillows and crisp high quality linen. The property has bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. The master bedroom with en-suite is located downstairs, along with an additional family room and family bathroom, which has a feature Corner bath. Bedrooms upstairs enjoy the convenience of a “jack & jill” style en-suite. Substantial communal areas make this property perfect for groups and families. A beautiful sun room with ample seating overlooks the private lake. There is also a separate tv room, dining room and a sitting room upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and has an additional table for dining. We are an approved 4 star quality assured self catering property by failte Ireland tourism ☘️☘️☘️☘️.

Some 20 years ago, my Dad, John had crazy mid-life crisis and decided to buy a plot of land in the middle of rural Shannon countryside. He had an idea that we would live mortgage free and enjoy the beautiful country, friendly locals and amazing golf and fishing that the area had to offer. With only a caravan in the middle of a field, his adventure began. Over time this 4 acre patch of grass was developed in to a beautiful 7 bedroom house, an additional 2 bedroom cottage, a double garage with living quarters and finally a huge, man-made lake stocked with Carp. Our family home was complete!

Now, too big for Dad on his own. He prefers the cosy quarters and we get to share the beauty of Heron's Lodge to other families to enjoy, as we once did and still do when we all get the chance to come together for a big old family knees up!

We love a Sunday night pint at Weir Lodge listening to the live music with fish & chip tea after, taking the kids to enjoy Loch Key Forest Park zip wire and tree top walk or the short drive to Sligo to enjoy the spectacular Glencar waterfall or just messing around on the beach.

We hope you can join us and enjoy some of these sites and more, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Heron's Lodge offers guests spacious and flexible accommodation. Each room is tastefully decorated with ample storage and supply only the best crisp linen on each one of our king size beds. Several communal areas will ensure that everyone can spend quality time together. The kitchen is well stocked and large enough for several people to use at the same time. We also provide a washer and dryer if required.

Heron's Lodge has beautifully maintained grounds and gardens, as well it's own private lake. Take a relaxing evening enjoying a cool drink by the lake watching the fish at sun set! We have lots of local attractions and plenty to do in the area.
