Les Noisettes is approx. 20kms south of Bergerac(its nearest airport) and 15 kms south east of Ste Foy la Grande ( a pretty market town). With the Dordogne flowing between these two towns there are plenty of opportunities to take a boat trip and discover the beauty of the area. Or for the more energetic why not hire a canoe and explore at your leisure.
It is located in the famous Bergerac/Mombazillac wine growing region. The wine routes are indicated and most producers offer free tasting.
Prehistoric caves and ancient dwellings can be found within an hours drive of the house.
Local markets abound and there is always something happening in local villages during the summer evenings, from night markets to oyster festivals and medieval re-enactments.
There is plenty for all ages in the region from canoeing or testing your nerve in the adventure parks to gentle walks in the surrounding countryside. Or just sit by the pool and enjoy the peace and quiet in this rural idyll.

About John/Jill Wolstenholme
Having purchased Les Noisettes as a holiday home we enjoyed many happy weeks here. As a consequence of this our beautiful house, the French countryside and the way of life rapidly lured us in and in 2010 we relocated to the area. We now live and work locally and our children have grown up here.
John/Jill Wolstenholme purchased this cottage in 2005
Why John/Jill Wolstenholme chose Thenac
We couldn't bear to part with our original piece of paradise, so we now open our home to others, hoping that they enjoy it and the region as much as we did and still do.The house is warm and welcoming and the area offers many a diversion for all ages.
