This light and airy first floor apartment boasts lovely views of Windermere, the Lake and the mountains beyond. Country walks from the doorstep and boat trips close by.. All on the First Floor:

Bathroom: Corner Bath With Shower Attachment, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Small porch with outdoor chairs. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children.. This delightful and spacious holiday apartment has lovely views overlooking Windermere to the fells beyond. Formerly part of a Victorian gentleman’s residence, it is situated in a prime residential area known as Heathwaite, which is on the edge of Windermere village. Furnished and fitted in a contemporary style, to a very good standard, the property offers all the comforts of home. It has its own private entrance up a short flight of slate steps. The location is superb, 10 minutes walk down to Windermere centre and 20 minutes walk to the lake at Bowness where you can enjoy a boat trip. Take one of the many country walks from the doorstep or explore central Lakeland by car. Shop 300 yards, pubs and restaurants 1/2 mile.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the High Mere apartment, it was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The location was peaceful and ideal for walking into Windermere or Bowness. The view from the lounge was stunning and watching the beautiful sunsets was very enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again!

Great location.

Great location. Property is spacious and has been tastefully modernised to a high standard and kitchen is full of useful equipment. One little criticism I think your cleaner is taking short cuts. I cleaned both towel rails which were visibly very grubby - they just need a wipe with a damp cloth every week it takes a few minutes only. Otherwise I couldn’t fault the place thank you for a great property.

fantastic accommodation, and by the looks of it, newly refurbished with new carpets. Great location and only about 15 minutes walk into town, superb views across Windermere. Would suggest the owners update the instructions to help new visitors find the entrance to the driveway, we couldn't find it and ended up walking around the local driveways before asking a resident for help. The photo on the booking documents is actually a picture of the back of the house, not the building you see from the road. Other than this small hiccup we love high Mere and will be back soon.

Well equipped cottage in great location.

Well equipped cottage in great location. Lovely views. Clean and all necessary equipment. The cleaners were very helpful when we had a couple of issues. Fairly newly refurbished but oven and microwave need updating (the door on the oven was falling off and the oven was under-powered, the microwave was not working). Despite this, the apartment was very comfortable and quiet. We would consider re-booking.
