Very nice cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. The lounge is very comfortable and the wood stove makes it nice and cosy. Probably need to come back in the summer to try the conservatory, it was a bit nippy in there last week!

On arrival we had a pleasant surprise, wine, homemade jam , eggs, cheese and fresh milk in the fridge, a lovely touch from Ann and Richard. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, it was well furnished and well equipped. The cottage is situated in a very quiet rural area and the garden was secure for my 2 dogs. We enjoyed relaxing in the conservatory and watching the local wildlife. I would certainly recommend the forester’s cottage and we will be back again.
Lovely cottage in great location, perfect for dog owners, would definitely recommend.

We had a really lovely stay at Forester's Cottage during August 2020 and would highly recommend this
We had a really lovely stay at Forester's Cottage during August 2020 and would highly recommend this property. We got slightly lost on arrival, but we called the owner who helped us with directions. We were very happy with the cottage and its facilities, everything was just as we expected, and it looked exactly like the photos on the website. Due to COVID, the owner advised that some soft furnishings etc. had been removed but this did not impact on our stay. The cottage was very clean, and we felt completely safe. We had a slight issue with the televisions not being tuned in when we arrived but, again, we just called the owner, and this was resolved very quickly and to our satisfaction. The cottage itself is cosy and homely, set in beautiful surroundings, very rural. The beds were super comfy and apart from a couple of issues with the oven (the door locked twice while we were cooking, ruined one culinary masterpiece as the oven turned itself off and we couldn't open the door for 40 mins, but luckily the second time it happened we'd just removed our food from the oven. We checked the manual, and this looked like some sort of cleaning cycle but we'd no clue how to clear it), everything else though was perfect and these small issues didn't spoil our stay in the slightest. We particularly liked the log burner, this made for some cosy nights in front of the tv and we lit this 2 or 3 times during our stay. The only criticism I have of the property is that it only has one bathroom. The cottage sleeps 5 people so having two bathrooms would be a definite benefit, even if there was a separate WC, however, I appreciate this is an older property with limited space, so adding another bathroom could be problematic. If you are travelling with dogs, as we were, the garden is very secure and there are some lovely walks nearby. We also became friends with the horses in the field behind the cottage who would come and visit us every day! Overall, this is a really lovely cottage and we will definitely stay here again.

Great location, quiet, peaceful and excellent scenery.
Great location, quiet, peaceful and excellent scenery. Well laid out and great if someone wants to watch tv and someone wants peace and quiet, to read and so on, as the living room and sun room are on opposite sides of the cottage. Great area for dog walking, and going running.

An extremely comfortable cottage.
An extremely comfortable cottage. The Rayburn keeps the place really warm and supplies lots of hot water. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal to use as a base to explore. We would certainly return.

Foresters Cottage is a secluded, private getaway from it all perfect for those with dogs.
Foresters Cottage is a secluded, private getaway from it all perfect for those with dogs. Wonderful for wildlife spotting. We saw deer and buzzards in the field behind the cottage, herons along the river in front and a short drive to Chanonry Point where we watched the Moray dolphins. The woods are great for walks from the doorstep as is the walk to the Cromarty Firth shoreline. Beaches are a 20 minute drive away. The owners are lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ve visited this cottage twice now and will definitely be booking again.
