This was our third visit to the Boathouse in the past 18 months. We have been to the Black Isle for the last 17 years so know it well. The Boathouse is a well situated property for our needs as the kitchen looks out to to Moray Firth with long beach walks just outside the door. It is always clean and tidy and well provisioned. The host, Carol, is very friendly and helpful. She is always available via the website etc.

The Boathouse is a family favourite! So close to the beach and just a nice size for 3 or 4. Always clean and cosy and the owner is very responsive.

Beautiful Seaside Cottage

The situation of the Boathouse is convenient for the sea and countryside walks. Everything we needed was provided and it's a cosy and comfortable place to stay.

Out of the door and within a few steps on the beautiful beach at Rosemarkie - what more could you want? If you also want a comfortable, peaceful, well-equipped property to stay in, then we can highly recommend ‘The Boathouse’.The light filled open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen is a very relaxing place to be with views across to the beach to the green headland. If you are awake at 4am then the sunrise is stunning! A comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, and copious amounts of hot water to fill the large bath. The local walks are delightful, plus castles, historic houses, gardens all within easy driving distance. Overall a 5* experience! Our thanks to Carol for letting us stay in her lovely property and for fast friendly communication.

We visited the Boathouse in April and came back for our annual Autumn two week visit to the Black Isle. We love the wildlife etc, the walks and Harry Gow pies. Excellent take-aways from the Crofters.
