Myself and wife spent 3 great weeks at the Stable and would definitely recommend to all visiting Bath and the South West. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and felt like a home from home. Morag and Phil were fantastic hosts recommending local walks, resteraunts and activities in the local area that made our stay that much easier and better.
Will definitely return!

We spent a lovely relaxing week at the stable.
We spent a lovely relaxing week at the stable. The accommodation was very well equipped ( there was even an electric blanket and hot water bottles in the event of a cold snap)and a very generous hamper was provided and greatly appreciated . The bed super comfy which gets a thumbs up ðŸ‘. Great value for money and highly recommend
Beautiful cottage in peaceful surroundings, very clean and well equipped, home from home. Situated a short drive away to all attractions in Somerset, Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, lovely walks around local area too. Morag and Phil very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, would highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay and the Somerset sights in easy reach.

Excellent accommodation and all topped off with a very generous welcome 'pack'! Morag was very unobtrusively welcoming and available if required. The paddock was an unexpected bonus and useful for exercising the dog in an enclosed safe area. Many local attractions within 30 minutes or so made for an enjoyable break. Very detailed instructions, online, when approaching The Stables from the M4 but we approached from the south - A303! Very enjoyable week and easy to recommend!

A well thought out and planned property.
A well thought out and planned property. There was everything you needed. A Tesco Express in Peasedown St John, a couple of miles away which had everything we needed plus a fish and chip shop, which was very good - used them twice. There was a larger Sainsburys on the outskirts of Bath. We always came back through Peasedown St John from our day out so calling in at the Tesco was not a problem, we didn't feel we had to go out of our way.
The Stable was a lovely place to come back to as a base. A lovely grassed area to look out onto with a nice seating area which caught the evening sun. Because of the time of year we didn't take advantage of it as it was a bit chilly by the time we got back but I can imagine sitting there on a summers evening with a glass of wine would be most pleasant. The owners were very helpful, there if needed, but discreet.
I would certainly use the Stable again if I am back in the area

Fabulous.
Fabulous. One of the best and loveliest places we've stayed in. The cottage is comfortable, well equipped and the location is superb: quiet and peaceful but not remote and it's within easy reach of places like Bath, Bradford on Avon and Wells, so a great base for sightseeing. Lovely to come 'home' to in the evening, especially the garden terrace, full of pretty planting - the perfect spot to finish the day with a glass of wine. There are also some easy countryside walks around the village. We highly recommend.

We stayed at the Stable in August.
We stayed at the Stable in August. It was a lovely place to stay. Extremely quiet and clean, the garden and patio area is beautiful and the hosts are a delight including Louis the dog! Everything you could need is already in the Stable including an extensive book, cd and dvd collection. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. We used the stable as a base to visit Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury, Wells and Portishead. We were extremely lucky and had one of the hottest weeks of the year. We would love to visit Morag and Dr Phil again in the future.

The cottage is a converted stable in the beautiful grounds of the owners home.
The cottage is a converted stable in the beautiful grounds of the owners home. It is all on one floor with patio doors leading to the garden. The kitchen is well-equipped with dish washer, washing machine and microwave. there is a small table and chairs for two people. The kitchen can be closed off from the rest of the property which is all open plan apart from the bathroom.
The living room is spacious and has a very comfortable sofa and has all the media devices you may want. The bedroom is also spacious with a comfortable king-size bed.
The owners Morag and Philip were very welcoming and friendly and their little dog Louis enjoyed playing with our young miniature poodle.

Morag has created a lovely, comfortable home from home. The Stable is thoughtfully designed and lovingly decorated and fitted out. Even our nervous little rescue dog felt happy and at home.
Morag made us feel so welcome, from her warm greeting to the essentials and treats we found waiting for us as we settled in.
The Stable is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside but is a short drive to Bath and other places of interest.
We would highly recommend it for those looking for a quiet retreat that isn’t too remote.
It was just right for us.
Thank you Morag.

The stable was a lovely cottage for our first family holiday with our 3month old daughter . Great hosts who left tasty treats for us on arrival. The location between Bath and Bristol was great for day trips into the cities. A comfy and cosy cottage which is great value for money. Just note as it’s in the countryside a car is needed. We would highly recommend!

We stayed here for a few days in July as a last minute getway.
We stayed here for a few days in July as a last minute getway. From the moment we walked in and was greeted by the owner we felt like we were at home. The place was spotlessly clean, with everything needed. We always take our own washing up liquid, teatowels, dishwasher tablets, but we didnt need to as all this was provided. The owner had left milk, scones, bacon, eggs etc for us which was a lovely touch. There was a large field that we could let our dog run around in which he loved. There are such lovely walks to explore in the surrounding areas. We were so impressed with the place that we have booked to go back next year for one week. Thoroughly recommend this place.
