On the edge of North Yorkshire Moors National Park dating back to the 1800s these charming holiday cottages are set in an idyllic location on a working farm with uninterrupted views of the open countryside in the beautiful, peaceful village of Brompton by Sawdon which has a wine bar and shop just a 5-minute walk from the property. The cottages were built before 1853 in the village that is the birthplace of aeronautics and where William Wordsworth got married. A short drive from the pretty village of Thornton le Dale and the ancient market town of Pickering where one can board the North York Moors steam train, sit back and relax as it chugs its way through the glorious Esk Valley into Goathland, Heartbeat’s very own village. The ancient sea port of Whitby famed for its connection with Captain James Cook and Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the elegant seaside town of Scarborough are just a short drive. Dalby Forest boasting cycle tracks, bridle paths, off roading and stunning barbecue and picnic areas easily accessed. With golf, fishing and horse riding locally there is something for all the family. The local pub serves cask ales, local ciders and pub food. Children are also welcome. Shops 300 yards, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
