It was a beautiful cottage with all the period finishing touches, the only bad things are the cottage is very high up, which is fine if you are a fit young couple which my husband is not. It is lovely decorated there is also limited parking. And because of this we didn't want to loose our parking place so we had to take a taxi everywhere

Overall excellent place only fault's was no WiFi and parking facilities were restricted. But the views from the cottage over the bay was worth it. Would definitely recommend this to family and friends and would love to come back for another stay.

Lovely cottage with amazing view from the terrace & bedroom. Great location. Although unable to park outside the cottage we found a spot further up the road where car stayed for the weekend so not an issue. Hope to return !

Cottage is stunning with views across the harbour.
Cottage is stunning with views across the harbour. The main negative is the parking, I had to park a good 5 minute walk away (which is alot when bringing in suitcases etc). Absolute pot luck as to whether you get a space anywhere near the property. Pictures also lead me to believe that there was a small garden along side the cottage but the garden didn't belong to number 4 where we stayed. Felt a little mislead as the garden swung the booking for me as I have children. But those things aside white cottage is a beautiful place with wifi, choice of entertainment and beautiful views.

Charming, cosy old cottage with superb views and a lovely patio.
Charming, cosy old cottage with superb views and a lovely patio. There were 4 adults staying so sitting room a little cramped when we tried to sit at the table to share a meal. Would recommend removal of the dresser and have the table placed there instead. Parking is poor too but property is well placed for all local amenities and there is so much to do in Whitby and good bus and train access too . Great value for money and we hope to return for another visit . Cottage very well equipped but no sharp knives for preparing food.

We have stayed here at least five times and love the cottage.
We have stayed here at least five times and love the cottage. However, it could benefit from some updating. The lounge is very cramped with unnecessary furniture, and the three piece suite is very old and uncomfortable.
