Thank you for our lovely stay at Cowslip. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing break away from home, which was much appreciated as the weather didn’t allow for much exploring. Jane is a warm and welcoming host and we will definitely be back in brighter conditions to enjoy the beautiful location more thoroughly.

We had a fantastic holiday, the cottage is beautiful, fully equipped and immaculate, there was everything we needed in the cottage, Jane & Mary Ann are absolutely lovely with nothing being to much trouble. We did find the lanes getting to the cottage a bit daunting at first as they are very narrow with very high hedge rows however it was a great place and we loved the country setting, we would highly recommend the cottage and would love to return.

Had a most enjoyable stay at Cowslip Cottage.
Had a most enjoyable stay at Cowslip Cottage. Jane & Mary Ann made us most welcome and the welcome pack was very much appreciated as was the hanging baskets, ornaments and pictures around the cottage.
Our family party consisted of 8 people and three dogs and we were very impressed with the layout, cleanliness and facilities.
The cottage is ideally placed to travel to Bude, Clovelly, Westward Ho & Hartland all within 30 minutes.
Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends & family. Thank you

Had a fabulous time, perfect location. Jane and Mary Ann are so accommodating and welcoming with the quirky welcome pack for both us humans and the dogs. Our son loved the fishing facilities and being safe night fishing was an added bonus. Will be back without a doubt.

The owners of this cottage truly focus on the holiday maker.
The owners of this cottage truly focus on the holiday maker. We have never felt so welcomed, anywhere. There is nothing Jane or Mary-Anne would'nt do to enhance your stay. This property is outstanding, ultimate luxury and tranquility rolled into one. We have stayed in many cottages but this beats them all.
There is no broadband in this cottage which we found a relief. In this antisocial world we live in today, how refreshing to leave the internet behind. Communication was reinvented! Those who need the internet for business or pleasure, purchase a 'dongle' before you travel. They are not expensive! Just to make all aware, i am on O2 network and had full signal throughout my holiday.
Missing it already. Will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this hidden gem.
We had a wonderful stay at this hidden gem. Tucked away in the countryside in a beautifully quiet setting we had a very warm welcome with home made treats, a super tidy and clean home from home with all of the creature comforts you could want or need. The owners were super helpful and welcoming. All of the family had an amazing time wandering and fishing the fabulous lakes, talking to the animals and taking in the scenery. All though it is tucked away a short car journey gets you to the delights of Bideford and Bude which we accessed easily and quickly on a regular basis. If you don’t want to stray that far you can simply wander into town to the local pub. Would definitely recommend this wonderful family and animal friendly gem of a retreat. Thank you for having us :)

Cowslip is a wonderful cottage, spacious yet cosy.
Cowslip is a wonderful cottage, spacious yet cosy. Superbly equipped with just about everything you could think you might need for your stay and a heap of things you never imagined you might need too! 4 bedrooms comfortably sleep 10, with 1 ensuite, 2 family bathrooms and a toilet in the excellent laundry room too. A large load washer and dryer, irons and board are in there too. The kitchen is very well equipped too so you won't struggle to cook. A very quiet peaceful setting, only a cockerel to disturb you in the morning. Plenty of parking for both cowslip and next door too. The only downside is that access from the A39 is via about 5 miles of single track roads using the shortest route we found. These roads are frightening with tight turns, high hedges and very soft verges. Don't let that put you off, but better to be aware. When we first drove there, exhausted after a 5 hour trip the last bit shredded our nerves. But it was absolutely worth it! Jane and Mary Ann are wonderful hosts who live in the farm house and who seriously can't do enough to help you. I honestly can't recommend this place any more highly.
