This holiday cottage is ideally located for visiting the New Forest or the seaside resorts of Poole and Bournemouth.. 1 step to entrance.

Bedroom 1: Zip And Link Super Kingsize Bed (2 x Singles On Request)

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating (£50 per week October-April), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Set in the pretty, rural village of Horton, this holiday cottage forms part of the owner’s home, but has its own entrance, garden area and drive. Horton has a famous tower which was used in the Thomas Hardy film ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’. It is ideally located for enjoying the area from visiting the New Forest National Park, the seaside at Poole and Bournemouth, to enjoying the footpaths, forest walks and country parks which are all nearby. Golf 2 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub ¼ mile and 1 mile.

Lovely place in a lovely area

Really nice cottage, friendly and helpful owners, in an area so handy for the local attractions. Saw lots of ponies and the autumn scenery of the New Forest was beautiful. Weather was also kind to us. Would certainly recommend.

Hübsches Haus mit netter Gastgeberin

Dieses hübsche Ferienhaus liegt eingangs des Dorfs Horton und bietet einen weiten Rundum-Blick ins Grüne. Direkt an den Garten angrenzend weidet eine kleine Schafsherde, es gibt Hühner und einen Hund. Bei unserer Ankunft stand ein leckerer Kuchen und ein Blumenstrauß auf dem Tisch für uns bereit, Tee und Milch waren ebenfalls im Vorrat. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zugleich zurückhaltend. Von Horton aus lassen sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten wie z. B. Stonehenge, Salisbury, aber natürlich auch die schöne Küste in kurzer Zeit erreichen. Wir haben unsere Urlaubswoche sehr genossen und können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

We enjoyed out stay at Castle house cottage. Everything was clean and very comfortable and the owner was friendly and very helpful. Location was great for getting around the lovely county of Dorset and there are shops not too far away so you can get your groceries easily. Lovely cake left by the owner kept us going all week. Lovely position, very helpful and friendly owner

Overlooking open fields, very comfortable and well kept and we would all be very happy to stay there again. An added bonus was the welcoming sponge cake which was excellent and soon consumed, back home and now on a diet!

What a sweet little cottage.

What a sweet little cottage. The owners are absolutely lovely, they were thoughtful and generous in providing a cake to welcome us. The house was once, we think, an annex to the main house. It's very basic, but has everything you could need. We were very comfortable here for a long weekend as two adults and two children (aged 5 and 7) and our dog!
