First Floor:

Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, Z-Bed (Child Only) Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot. Use of owners’ washing machine and tumble dryer. Use of owners’ freezer. Sole use of part of owner’s garden and furniture. Parking 50 yds. No smoking.. This pretty thatched holiday cottage nestles in a secluded location on the edge of the New Forest, with lovely views over field and woodland from the verandah. Adjoining the owner’s home, it serves as a haven for wildlife lovers; countryside walks radiate from the property offering plenty of opportunities for spotting the animals and birds resident in the area. A short drive away are the characterful resorts of Christchurch, Bournemouth and Lymington (departure point for Isle of Wight crossings), for beaches and boating. The Beaulieu Motor Museum is well worth an outing, as is the New Forest, for museum and pony trekking. Shop 1 mile.

We have just had a lovely holiday at Heathfield lodge. Sam the owner couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed it so much we have booked two weeks for next year. Overall the cottage was very cosy and reasonably well equipped - but could have done with some tin foil and cling film - the open plan was not conducive to a good nights sleep if your partner snores - but the relaxer chairs were very comfortable - shame there are no pubs within walking distance.

A good base for New Forest

Excellent accommodation and every attention to detail with regard to our comfort.A good selection of books,games,DVD’s and even a piano for our entertainment on rainy days.A good base for exploring the New Forest and a lovely secluded garden for lazy days with plenty of bird life to observe.The cottage is 5 minutes drive to a couple of pubs with good food but would have preferred them to have been in walking distance.We were given a warm welcome by the owner and provided with a range of supplies such as milk,tea,coffee,biscuits etc.All in all a good restful break in a lovely cottage which would have been made perfect by being within walking distance to a pub or village.
