Although we really enjoyed our stay i do think a couple of things need a look at in the cottage.

Although we really enjoyed our stay i do think a couple of things need a look at in the cottage. The oven smokes very heavily when cooking, therefore setting of smoke alarms very quickly. The property is fine for two people or a family of four providing the children are quite young as you have to walk through the bathroom and main bedroom to get down stairs. The bed broke and the cooker would not work.

The bed broke and the cooker would not work. The owner lived in the house in front of the cottage but never did anything for us while we were there .

First the positives.

First the positives. Ideal location, nice and quiet a welcome, welcome pack, spacious kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedrooms. Ample crockery and glasses. Had problems with the dishwasher and microwave which was quickly resolved. Although it is a lovely cottage, the wife and me felt it was a bit neglected and would benefit from a deep clean and patches of plaster coming away from the walls. The main downside was the strong smell of damp in the kitchen and lounge with snails on the back wall on the second evening above the settee. Evidence of snails the next morning with trails of their presence left on the work services on the kitchen breakfast bar area. None of this could be addressed with the owners as they were abroad. For general questions we had a pleasant young lady and the owners Mother who, via her Daughter dealt with what could be resolved and apologised what she couldn’t. Had we had direct communication with the owners we would like to think this review would be somewhat different.
