Comfortable cottage, lovely location
A lovely cottage, very spacious, warmed up nicely, very comfortable beds and not a problem to manage without WiFi for a few days! Beautiful area and plenty to see, would recommend.

A thatched roof cottage built in 1400’s with huge amount of space indoors and in the garden. The cottage itself had literally everything you could need from foil for cooking to baking tins to board games and dvds for entertainment. It was extremely well heated in the cold frost weather and windows had double glazing. The fire place is fully working so you can make your own fires. Beds are all very comfy and rooms are huge. Lounge area is huge for entertaining. There is now shower and a very low ceiling over the bath so adults cannot stand in the bath to shower and there is no shower curtain despite there being an adaptor to the taps to use a hose - warning to those not able to sit in a bath. This fault was the only fault to the whole cottage which is small in all considerations. The cottage was clean throughout though very old and dusty in non-reachable places but it added to the charm. There is nothing in walking distance for shops - not even a corner shop for milk and supermarkets don’t deliver to the cottage so go fully prepared or know it’s a drive to the next village to a mini co-op for supplies. Not a single sound, no cars or traffic, just a roosting Hen and bell chimes from the church over the road. Wonderful place for the children to get lost in the garden, areas for wet wellies to dry and washing machine tumble dryer. Smoke alarms worked a little too well but it’s good to be safe! Would go again! We did find the cottage possibly haunted which spooked us a little! No stair gate on stairs for small children and carpet in dining room where you eat as a warning to parents so you need to plan no messy food!
