A very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a lovely location. Our own wooded valley with deer, and birds to watch on the feeder. Footpaths nearby to explore and a friendly owner. A memorable holiday.

Had a lovely stay at Hollywall Croft.
Had a lovely stay at Hollywall Croft. The setting of the cottage is amazing and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, wildlife and nearby Brook. Our dog was in her element with all the space she had to roam around outside the property.Loved sitting in front of the fire most evenings and appreciated the plentiful supply of firewood we were given.Only issue we had was the creaking floors, very loud and woke others up during the night when popping to the bathroom downstairs! However, we highly recommend and will hopefully stay there again in future.

Had a 3 night break there with my Labrador. Loved every minute, very peaceful. The stars were so bright due to no light pollution. Very happy with everything.
Very limited phone signal, but the WiFi worked fine. Double bed was very comfortable. I will be back again.

We loved this cottage, which is very adequately equipped and surprisingly spacious. For us, it has family connections from the 19th century, but for anyone it would provide a very relaxing holiday base in beautiful north Herefordshire. Very comfortable bed, good kitchen, Wifi a lot better than expected.

Our fifth visit to this little cottage, which says a lot.
Our fifth visit to this little cottage, which says a lot. We love the peace, quiet and privacy. The SSSI Dingle which surrounds the cottage, is perfect for an early morning walk with the dog. There were a lot of sheep on this year, so we had to use the lead. We had a few chilly nights, but the storage heaters were adequate, and there was also a log burner with enough logs for a couple of nights.
We like the cottage and the area, and hopefully intend to return next year.

A fabulous pre Christmas break away. The cottage is just idyllic, full of character and very cosy. Would certainly come again. Owners extremely hospitable. They even posted my partner’s shirts back to us after we had left them hanging in the wardrobe! Bless them 💕

This is the 6 time staying at this cottage it is vey cosy and has everything you need, to have a chilled holiday, we have already booked again for 3 nights in February. The wifi is a bit slow but that does not bother us. the only disappointment was i rang the week before to see if it would be decorated for Christmas to be told that it would have a small christmas tree and some holly around the cottage, when we got there was no tree or holly.

This is a really nice little cottage, with lots of really good features for those visiting with a pet; like an enclosed garden (~3ft 6”fence) that will be secure for most small dogs, and access to the owners land adjacent to the property, which is free of grazing animals and crops. There’s also a internal doors, as opposed to open plan, that mean you can restrict where your dog is.
Most of the important things are very well catered for, comfortable seating, good mattresses and bedding, the electric storage heaters really worked well at keeping the cottage at a constant temp during our Oct visit. On the down side the kitchen would benefit from a refresh, and of course the bane of all holiday cottages, adequate broadband. A min speed of just 2Mb/s would have been sufficient to allow half term homework to be completed, but with just ~0.2Mbs available two of the party had to leave early, 3G/4G? There’s no mobile coverage at the cottage. The answer? BT infinity is apparently available for the post code.

A fantastic place to stay.
A fantastic place to stay. We were happy with everything. The property was spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. Just what we wanted, with the added bonus of being able to take the dog who had a safe and secure place to run around outside.
Only one disappointment...........the weather.
Would definitely recommend Holywell Croft
Thank you

This cottage is situated in a lovely spot and is very dog friendly.
This cottage is situated in a lovely spot and is very dog friendly. Others have mentioned the road nearby. It is true, that from the photos online you would have no idea it existed. When we stayed it was busy with farm traffic. This didn't bother us as we live by a busier road anyway - but in terms of walking on that road you need to be careful and keep dogs on a lead. There is the dingle to walk in also. The cottage is quirky - we live in a cottage so were used to the low ceilings and potential for head injuries. The upstairs floors were very creaky - again we weren't bothered by that but others may be.
there was a distinct lack of local info in the cottage - no maps, for example, that we went to get from the tourist office in Leominster.
TV reception was excellent and the wifi adequate. We couldn't get the radio to work but had brought a bluetooth speaker that worked fine
overall a good place to stay -
