Location was amazing with incredible views, and the cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Enclosed garden was great for the dog, there is lovely walking right on your door step and easy access to great places to visit and walk. A trip to Eastnor and British Camp is highly recommended.

Thank you for your lovely review and pleased you enjoyed your stay. Now I need to visit The British Camp.
the cottage is a very rural location which is perfeck for relaxing with a great garden and superb views.
We took our dog and this is an ideal place for this with it,s fully fenced in dog freindley garden and great walks on your doorstep.
Denise the host was great and couldn't do enough to help make our stay enjoyable.
Lovely setting, very peaceful. Dogs loved the big garden.
Track up through the field is pretty rough on tyres as it’s rocky and a sign off the road would be good so you know you are on the right track but we had a really lovely relaxing time
Cottage was everything you could want in the location. Garden was great, my only issue was the grass could have done with a cut but that is a small point in the overall picture. We had great weather so can't comment what it would be like in poor conditions. We were more than happy and are seriously considering staying again.

Thank you for you nice comments about Camp Cottage and you’re welcome to return anytime
I totally agree about the lawn and it’s been cut.
Best wishes
Denise
This cottage is a little gem, so peaceful with fantastic views. You couldn’t not relax and the walking is all on the doorstep and loads more to choose from. Generally involved water in our case!!
The cottage was so well equipped especially if you are a bit of a cook. The only tiny thing was the hard bed, we felt a good quality mattress would have made it perfection. We will be back.

So sorry Aggie just realised I’d not responded to your lovely review(not sure what happened).
I will check the mattress as I’ve been told it’s quite soft. Maybe a new topper needs to be bought.
Look forward to hearing from you again.
Keep well. X

About the host
Hosted by Denise Pallis
Hi and welcome to Camp Cottage. I'm Denise and the owner of this magical cottage. My father in law bought this cottage in the late 1970's as he was an artist and just wanted to paint and spend time up there taking in the view and wildlife. I've two dogs a miniature schnauzer called Latte and Belle a 14 year old Jack Russell. They think the garden is theirs, but your dogs are very welcome as they will love the freedom just like my two. As a family we all love to get up there as often as possible and to share it with our friends. Now I'd like you to benefit the experience of Camp Cottage and the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. If you have any questions please ask me or follow Camp Cottage on Facebook
Why they chose this property
The cottage is unique, no neighbours, no roads nearby, no city noises, no light pollution. Just peace, maybe the sound of a tractor, or a pheasant, or sheep when they are in the adjacent field. One visitor to the cottage identified 40 different birds from the garden. The cottage is perfect for a couple and 2 dogs, it spacious enough for either of you to have your own space whether it's one of you in the dining room or the other relaxing in the studio/lounge. I've made this cottage home from home and what I would expect of a smart cottage. Lovely white linen sheets, white towels, slippers, Netflix on the TV, Wifi, Nespresso machine and of course a dishwasher. Who wants to go on holiday and wash up!
What makes this property unique
The views are spectacular. In the morning the mist rises from the Wye River and sends out a mystical aura over the area. In the evening the sun sets to the right hand side of the garden, with a glass of wine in your hand it's the perfect moment to watch the sun set. As there is no light pollution, the sky glows with stars on a clear day and people have brought their telescopes to the cottage to capture those moments.
So there are no neighbours only sheep or a passing walker who will be on the Wye Valley Walk.
