An excellent two storey cottage, rather larger than pictures suggest. Very clean, well presented and comfortable in a beautiful location. The kitchen was well equipped with thoughtful touches that made self-catering very easy. Attractive garden with outside seating and lovely views. Bedrooms surprisingly spacious with good hanging space. Clear and regular contact withe delightful hosts made for an enjoyable stay
We and our Red Setter had really three wonderful weeks in The Apple Store. Thanks for that. Everything you need is in place and we enjoyed walking in The Doward and down to the Wye river. We only can highly recommend The Apple Store. There are some many aweful place around to visit and most impressive the west coast of Wales, the Black Mountains and for sure Bristol ...
Fabulous location, great walks right from the front door, owners were friendly and welcoming. Nice well equipped cottage with great views from the garden.
Our party of 3 adults stayed for 10 nights. The property was very clean, had modern appliances which all worked well and plenty of information on local attractions, walks, restaurants etc. It had a very nice garden area for sitting out in this peaceful location which was near to local towns and walking areas. We had a great time there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night break. The cottage is one of the nicest we've stayed in, really well equipped and with some lovely, thought-out homely touches e.g. lovely reed difusers, Helpful laundry basket and sweet key hooks. Would definitely visit gin!
The house is in a really beautiful spot with a great view from the garden and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly, responsive and helpful. The only reasons for not giving five stars are that as a taller person the double bed is quite short. Also due to its former use as an apple store there isn't much natural light that comes into the house at all. The surroundings are stunning though and it's an excellent base to explore the Wye Valley with great walks from the doorstep. We had an enjoyable week!
The Apple Store was exactly as described and we are likely to return.A beautiful rental with some interesting and quirky features that I appreciated, such as the old school desk. I also appreciated things like the books and DVDs.The bedding is to die for, just stunning. Very comfortable outdoor seating, which probably needs a photo update so that people can see what they'll be reclining in when taking in the outstanding views. The owner is friendly, helpful and accommodating and the accommodation was immaculate.
Very quaint little cottage. Nice and peaceful surroundings. Was nice to sit out in the back garden with a drink taking in the surroundings and watching the sheep and birds of prey. Nice walks in the vicinity too. Enjoyed our stay.
Great little place to stay, lots of character & charm situated on the side of a quiet valley.
Although didn’t spend too much time there during the day as fishing the Wye was our reason for being there. Sadly the fish weren’t as welcoming as the accommodation.
Lovely out of the way location close by woodland walks. Very friendly and accommodating owners live closer by. Very clean and well skinned. Surprisingly decent wi-fi.
Really lovely place. Traditional and thoughtful conversion but with all amenities. Stunning location. Easy to access all the activities we hoped to do as a family with young children.
We truly had the best time and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
The location was perfect and the peace and tranquillity were just what was needed.
Many thanks.
Absolutely loved The Apple Store! Lovely scenic spot and very accommodating hosts. Great location from which to tour the countryside and a charming cottage to come back to at night. I would enjoy another stay here.
