Absolutely loved our stay, everything we needed was there and owner so so lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer, definitely going back. Thank you xx
The house felt like being at home, cosy and comfortable, Jane and her husband made feel welcome, as did the neighbours who walked past. Quiet, relaxing location and ideal centre for many local attractions. Will miss the hens and sheep!!!
It was a great stay in a perfect cottage in a quiet part of Bream. Fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials and more. No dishwasher, but that was quite okay. Great beds. The free roaming sheep and the chicken were a nice extra. Jane, the host is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the best places to go to. It is tucked away in a corner of Gloucestershire, but has some great walks in the beautiful Forest of Dean.
A comfortable cottage in a lovely little village of Bream. A perfect base to explore the forest of dean. We liked the fact that everything was not far to travel to from the cottage. Will book again!
I can't wait to go again and I am planning my next visit all ready. Jane is one of those lovely people its such a pleasure to know and I am very grateful to have discovered this lovely place.
We had a lovely few days at the cottage. It was comfy and cosy and had everything we needed.Jane and Malcolm were lovely, friendly and had lots of free range hens, who our son fell in love with! Perfectly situated for walks or bike rides in the forest, which was literally just out the front door! Just lovely!
My husband and I had such a lovely stay at Jane's house. It is a lovely cosy house with everything we needed for our stay and very central for visiting the main spots of the Forest of Dean. Jane is a super friend and helpful host and great with communicating. We would definitely stay again.
Cosy cottage in lovely location. A good meeting point between West Wales and the West Country. We loved exploring the Forest of Dean. Also a lovely walk from the cottage. Nice welcome from host Jane.
The cottage, next door to the owner is a lovely property with constant sunshine in the private garden from sunrise to sunset. As we stayed during hot weather we took advantage of the BBQ.The stairs are rather steep. The host was very friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable. The location is lovely with a common in front, our neighbours comprised of many sheep and chickens freely wandering around, which enhanced our experience and as the community is quite small, their friendly inclusive attitude made us feel very much at home. It's a great location for visiting many attractions and local grown produce is readily available at farmers markets, Taurus centre etc. There are a number of pubs in the area with a few within walking distance. The food at these pubs is good too.Would highly recommend this lovely friendly location, tucked away in Lydney
Super helpful host living just next door and the property is in a lovely location - free range chicken and sheep!! Great base to travel round the area. Really enjoyed our stay
Lovely cosy cottage in a great location. Central to be able to visit so many other locations. Clean and comfortable. With everything you will ever need for a perfect stay. Was great to wake up with the sheep and chicken roaming freely on the common right outside the cottage gates. Grandchildren loved to see them. Jane and Malcolm couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you both for the fresh blue eggs. Will definitely go back. Thank you both. .
Easy to find and such a warm welcome. A beautiful cottage with everything you need. Whether you while away the hours watching the chickens foraging and dustbathing from the front garden, or enjoy the lovely walks from the doorstep, it is a wonderful location for a week away ..or longer.. as there is so much to see and do and the cottage is perfectly placed to explore. It was a priority, having dogs, that there were lots of shady walks nerar-by, we were not disappointed! The Colliers Trail explored Mallards Pike, Cannop Ponds, Speech House Lake and the Sculpture trail. Had a lovely meal at the Miners Arms, and some nice fish n chips from the local. Jane couldn't have done more for us. Such a lovely host. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
We were very lucky to make the most of the wonderful weather to explore the area (so many stunning places including Tyntesfield, or Woodchester Park). We had a great stay, very peaceful and private.Thank you!
Very enjoyable stay, great location. forest walks within 200 yards, and chickens and grazing sheep outside the front gate. The owners live next door and were very approachable and helpful. Highly recommended for a weeks break.
Thank you for hosting us Jane, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at your lovely little cottage and getting away from the city. Perfect for a family get away.
