Both properties: Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. Welcome pack. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The properties are located 20 yards from the sea.. Ideal touring base for a traditional seaside holiday (pets welcome!). Situated in the Rhins of Galloway in the coastal village of Drummore, Scotland’s most southerly village, this holiday cottage stands on the shore of Luce Bay with its sand and shingle beaches just across the road. The well-equipped cottage offers stunning views across the expanse of Luce Bay with its white tipped waves and sea birds, beautiful in the summer, but equally spectacular for wave watching in winter. The area is unspoilt, the scenery idyllic, and the seascapes around the Rhins as dramatic as they are beautiful. Attractions include golf courses and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals, red squirrel and otters can all be seen in the area. Logan Botanical Gardens is a must during spring and summer with its beautiful displays of rare and native plants. Other beautiful gardens in the area include Castle Kennedy, Glenwhan and Dunskey. Logan Fishpond in the nearby village of Port Logan is an interesting and unusual local attraction. Five miles north of Stranraer is Cairnryan, home to the Stena Line and P&O ferries which make regular trips to Ireland. A local, well stocked convenience store/post office, café/seafood restaurant and 3 pubs are all within 500 yards.

We had a fantastic time at Jura, Drummore, lovely sandy beach just up the road, great for the kids and dog walking, flying kites and swimming in the sea. The cottage had everything we needed, apart from double bed a bit small as we're used to a king but that's us :-), location was great and easy to find. Was lovely waking up to sea views from several windows. Lots of small birds feeding in the garden. Drummore itself is very small, has one shop, you can get most things there. Gallie Craig at the Mull of Galloway has fantastic views and a fantastic and very reasonable café, Tign Na Mara restaurant at Sandyhills was lovely, the Clashwhannon was good, nice pub grub. Lots of things to do and lots of sea air, we will be back ! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely house very clean and opposite lovely quiet beach.
Lovely house very clean and opposite lovely quiet beach. Not much in village though. Pubs and bistro look they have been closed for years. Just one pub left by caravan site and small shop. Also main road closed when the sea is rough and minor road was far too small for all the traffic on it so bit of a rotten trip. Too many Camper vans on a single track road!
